Whilst I agree that the questions did sound a bit loaded I do think that people have perhaps been a bit foolish in not voting. This is an important decision in the clubs history. Their voices needed to be heard.

If they failed to vote because they were worried that a vote of No to Hull Tigers would have seen the Allams walk then what I would say to those people is that owners come and go but the clubs tend to remain. City are a Premier League side who have almost secured their top flight status for another season. That would be an attractive option to a lot of wannabe football owners I think.

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. When you rescue a dog, you gain a heart for life. Handle every situation like a dog. If you can't Eat it or Chew it. Pee on it and Walk Away. "No amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party. So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin. " Anuerin Bevan:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19170.jpg

But why did they have to mention themselves in the poll? Iirc the vote is not about the Allems staying or leaving, its about a name change. Theres only one reason why they laid out the questions like they did and for most of us it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I am a season ticket holder and did not vote.

If you rely on this poll to make your voice heard then you've failed already, this poll is meaningless, biased and quite possibly corrupt (a significant number of votes have gone missing and the company responsible for counting them has had to make a statement to defend themselves). It will have no bearing on the FA's decision and in no way represents the opinion of fans.

However the result does allow Allam's supporters in the media to claim that a majority of fans are in favour of the name change (incidentally they aren't because only 43% of those voting voted for change) or aren't bothered either way.

Challenge Cup Winners 2016 (at Wembley) - HULL FC:

And now he has stated he will go back on his threat to walk away when the FA reject the name change.

Thought he didn't make idle threats?

they haven't sold their allocation of tickets yet - only 27k sold with 5k to go.

Sheff Utd have been given extra tickets

Looks like they'll have to win the cup to get into Europe looking at Arsenal and Evertons form.

He was right in the end:

Quote: paintman "Looks like they'll have to win the cup to get into Europe looking at Arsenal and Evertons form.'"

You missed the bit where Allam will have to write a cheque for £25,000,000 in order for them to take a place in European competition.

Agree. Don't think anyone can take the low "turnout" as an indication of apathy.

Spoke to a colleague today for the first time since the vote. She is vehemently anti Hull Tigers and passionately wants to retain Hull City as as the embodiment of the club's history and tradition. She says a name change would be akin to removing the soul of the club.

She voted "Not too concerned will support the club either way". Astounded, as I know how desperately she is No to Hull Tigers, I asked why. Apparently, on the ballot paper you had to report your name, address and seat number. My friend pointed out that she didn't feel comfortable identifying herself as a No voter and being tagged as 'Anti Allam' (she's not against Allam and wants him to stay) bearing in mind that the following week the club were going to be allocating the FA Cup semi tickets. She actually thought voting No would jeopardize her chance of getting tickets, plus she didn't want the Allams to think her No vote was a vote against their ownership.

So as well as threats, loaded questions and dubious administration, the ballot was not anonymous. I'll wager the vast majority of passholders were reluctant to reveal themselves as No voters to the Allams. Understandably, really, with their past history of over-reaction and vengeful outpourings to perceived slights.

This wasn't a referendum about a change of name. It was rigged blackmail, in my opinion. And I admire the bravery of the 46% that had the courage to vote 'No' but thoroughly understand the motives of those far too uncomfortable or downright scared to vote "No", like my friend, who will have voted neutrally or not at all, certainly not because of apathetic reasons. They are Allam's real 'silent majority'.

biggest thing to annoy me is the fact its only pass holders who get a vote.i had a pass at boulevard for 15+ years but hav'nt had one at k.c for alot of reasons which i won't bore you with.i still attend all the home games so i'm no less of a supporter than anyone with a pass.they could of just had ballot boxes on every turnstyle at a big game to get a broader opinion poll (which is probaly why they never).what is a mystery is how these fantastic buisness men can't market a team with the nick name the tigers but can a team called hull tigers.its the worst cover up of his hatred of the council ever.fair play to him for saving the club but his constant sulking and stamping his feet when he does'nt get his own way is always going to end badly one day.i seem to remember the city fans love of duffen not so long ago
