However I can't see the point of sacking him as a knee jerk reaction leaving us with no coach or a caretaker or assistant in charge.'"
Or starting from scratch with another new coach and the same problems

It seems to me we've had the same problems for years, despite changing the coach and the players. I really don't know what the answer is.

cartoons/WB17.gif I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

| Woke up this morning after a restless night's sleep due to a nightmare which kept recurring every time I closed my eyes. I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me, but it turns out last night really did happen and it is not merely a figment of the dark side of my imagination.
I always believed it would take a minimum of three years for the Pearson/McCrae/Gentle axis to make significant progress after the mess they inherited. If we are making progress towards our ultimate goal, it's pretty damn difficult to see it this morning.
I backed Gentle to be the man who hopefully would turn us around (probably more in hope than belief) but he looks like a busted flush this morning. The question that we are all asking is where to go from here. If not Gentle, then who? We could simply end up throwing out the baby with the bathwater (McNamara?).
Like everyone else on here, I have no idea of where we go from this depressing point. A series of mistakes over the last seven years (Coaching appointments, player recruitment, youth system) means we have painted ourselves into an unbelieveably tight corner with no obvious way out. Something has to give or we could be doomed to mid table mediocrity for an eternity.
There is no obvious (Black and) White Knight in shining armour waiting in the wings to rescue us from this predictament, but Adam needs to act (and act swiftly) one way or the other because we once again are looking like a rudderless ship with no clear idea or intention of where we are heading.

| Regardless of whether Gentle should stay or go, the blame for last nights disgrace lays firmly at the feet of the players. Grown men shouldn't need a coach to tell them they need to go out and play with effort and commitment in every game. My 13 year old son would have shown more heart that some of that lot last night.
If it is true that Gentle has lost the dressing room the players who are leading this latest "revolution" should be told they are free to find themselves a club with a coach that they DO want to play for.
It is widely acknowledged that "player power" lost John Kear his job, and for a professional sports club to allow this to happen twice in 7 years would make us more of a laughing stock that we are already.

Now this I totally agree with

| The humour on here after last night suggests one of two things;
1. The people of Hull have an amazing sense of humour, taking the lessons learned through the generations of hardship, hard living and adversity that have been the economic and social foundations of our city and doing our best to put a positive spin on situations.
2. Youre used to it.
On a more positive note you do now hold the top 2 spots in one 'record'.
Its easy for me to sit up here and look down, but like your cross town cousins should you not be considering the possibility of relegation returning and being a threat if you cant get out of free fall?

We lost a play-off match (get that - play off) albeit by a record score. We played in the Challenge Cup final. We finished 6th in the regular season. Where does free fall fit into this?

But wrong !
Hetherington was always gunning for him.
The players who were "supposed" to be against him have all come out saying what a great coach he was. Cooke even followed him to Wakey.

You say that but I have a few small points;
When Sandercock's back was against the wall, his players supported him. They played out of their skin and matched some big teams on a much smaller budget than us.
He plays an expansive style of rugby and it's actually quite entertaining. We are boring.
The margin between good and bad is much smaller at Rovers (one defeat aside) we are so inconsistent we make rice pudding look smooth..
Is Sandercock the man for Hull FC?? No, probably not!!
Would I rather have him in charge than Gentle?? Every single day of the week without a doubt!!

Actually it's not wrong they did turn against him.
Remember the first two games of the 2006 season.
First game we won by a decent score, 2nd game 24 points up at halftime only to come out in the second half to be beaten and look like a different team. Not going to say what I've been told on here but something happened at halftime between the dressing room and the tunnel area and the rest is history shall we say, It was interesting how we suddenly went on an unbeaten run once Kear left and we made the GF

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
