Only Holdsworth will know how he feels, and it is his risk to make. It is an unusual injury in that he is physically fit and there is nothing else the medical team can do to help the situation. Unlike say Andy Lynch's broken wrist last season which could be strapped up and given a painkiller.

Well I hope he doesn't say it through a sense of loyalty to the team. If he's not fully recovered he shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch. We can't afford him to get injured any further or he'll be missing for an awfully long time.

It's a strange one. Is it possible to make it worse?

I reckon holdsworth will play. We need him. Wouldn't want to risk him if he's bad though.

said in jest, but seriously can't believe that we will play Holdsworth if there is a question mark over his health, especially when it's the head / brain area. Players wellfare must come 1st, the fact that we may lose through him not playing shouldn't come into it. Difficult decision as the scans he has had can't find the problem, but getting severe headache mid game and throwing up in the tunnel suggest that there must be a problem.

Much as I want him on the pitch I think Gentle should stick with his comment after London that he will be "stood down" for a few weeks.

Hope this is smoke and mirrors after Sandy Dicks comments about Dobson being out for 2 - 4 weeks. Gentle seemed pretty confident after the London game that McD would be good to go for the Derby. If he plays FC by 4 if not then we may be looking at a bleak Easter period
