Quote: Staffs FC "For those blaming the owner/coach/anyone else other than Seymour for 'ruining his confidence' I think you need to remember the order of events and ask yourselves why he was criticised in the first place.'"

Exactly the point I made a couple of pages back. For some, it's as if he had one bad game and AP went on Radio Humberside to tell everyone what a pile of cack he thought he was.

I think there's more chance of Andy Lynch at scrum half on Friday than Seymour.

Quote: Kosh "People bleating about how badly poor old Brett has been treated need to give their heads a bang. Ordinary folk get treated way worse every single day of the week and [istill[/i manage to put in a professional job at work. For far less reward.'"

I wonder if Seymour has the 'confidence' to pick up (drop) his wages?

He lacks so much of what we need as a team: Enthusiasm, agility, pace, side step and most of all composure. This has a massive effect on people that are relying on him to organise the team and dictate plays.

He was sat behind us last week against Warrington, suited and booted, actually praised him for being there and looking genually interested in the game wishing he was out there but on last nights performance can see why he wasn't. Just doesn't fit in. looks totally out of touch, and most worrying inept at his job. Big thing is confidence, just wish he had the ability or strength mentally to turn it around. Did not see anything last night to fill me with confidence he will.

I'm surprised his visa lets him play for Hull!

I can understand why he was picked. Holdsworth injured, Heremaia not quite working last week. People would have been calling Gentle had he not tried something different. He did, and it failed spectacularly.

So if same situation arises, what do we do? Horne and Heremaia again? Horne and Nicklas?

By the way, what's all this Nicklas/Twitter news? I haven't seem anything?

If I remember rightly, most of the posters on here, were calling for Seymour's inclusion in the team to replace Heremia, looks like Gentle took your advice.

I'd play Heremia their with one leg, rather than Seymour.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, Hull fans in know feck all about human psychology shocker. You'll never get it will you, you haven't got the brains to figure it out between the lot of you or you want to be sheep followers as you don't have the balls to stand out and say so...

I totally accept Seymour isn't our man, he isn't the one to boss us around the park and isn't quite good enough to make us a top 4 side, I've no problem with that. Who though because Holdsworth certainly isn't bossing us around the park either in his short stint so far though he is doing a good job.

I don't know what happened pre season playing wise but if you expected an undercooked, demotivated player lambasted for one game by fans and stripped of all dignity/respect by the owner before the season started to come out and play to the level that is expected in a professional sport that you cannot hide in then you are totally mental.

Nope we haven't got a 13 who is average and makes the same mistakes as last year, doesn't give penalties away (certainly not twice as many as any other team member) at daft times like the rest of the team.
and plays much as a 2nd rower to boot.
Nope we don't have a testimonial international centre who yet again has proven to be a greedy useless passer and hardly gets involved in the game for someone of his supposed standing/reputation.
Nope we don't have a lightweight pack with an outstanding prop of last year whom we relied upon as the mainstay of that pack playing well (most metres gained) but maybe looks below expectation because he's f''king knackered taking up the slack and isn't in any way demotivated for not having the captaincy stripped after a massive season previously.

Nope we have half a dozen ball busting props a la Moa bowling over the oppos forwards and not ones that get turned over/pushed back easily despite their best efforts.
Nope we have the quickest play the ball in all superleague, proving yet again what masters we are at this aspect of the game.
Nope, we don't have an excellent utility back now playing as interchange prop/2nd row because we have the depth of experience not to do that.
Nope we don't have an England Knights hooker who has blown hot and cold so far and is never knackered through playing 80 minutes.
Nope we don't have an interchange 9 who is limited and is not capable of playing in the halves which the coach has persisted with instead of bringing in the squad member meant for that role.

Nope we don't have an international winger who still is frail positionally defensively
Nope we don't have very inexperienced centre/wing pairings that have being chopped and changed (for various reasons) since the season started so they are completely at ease with each other and know each other inside out.
Nope we don't have an aging, underperforming 2nd row cum whatever his role is supposed to be reject playing wide out like a dummy at times
Nope we don't have injuries to a top international nor a very good bustling offloading prop who we would hope make a massive difference to our go forward nor our top goal kicker and excellent 2nd rower.
Nope we don't have a coach under pressure from the owner or the fans to make the right decisions and bring what is expected on the field and didn't get the kind of top halve the club has been yearning for (one that wasn't made of balsa wood) for 6 years. He also didn't have his captain and top foward player limp out before playing any minutes and won't for near on 3 months.
Nope we have a long standing in depth youth set up that has brought them through to slot in when needed so they have quite a bit of first team experience showing faith in them (& thus not motivating them further when not playing 1st team) to bring them in when players are injured.
Nope we don't have some members of the squad taking the and denegrating other team members publicly.
Nope we don't have a club and their players who can't even get to matches on time because they are thick as pig shat and can't figure out for themselves like little children that travelling along a busy motorway in the middle of rush hour will present ZERO problems ever.

We have no problems whatsoever with our club/team and everything is down to Seymour.....yet another scapegoat for the shat on display, he had a hand in everything that went wrong...including the games he didn't play but carry on with your one sided viewpoints...
