It was a good atmosphere and a goods night all around. I'm guessing that the South Stand was mainly Hull fans but it was disappointing to hear Old Faithful sung towards the end.

The only musical instruments I heard were those pumping out of the stadiums speakers (atmosphere generating, I assumed). Was there actually additional instrumentals in the ground?

we was sat in the upper west and also thought the band sounded like it was being played through the pa system, apart from the brass band on the pitch , didn't see any other

I suppose it shows we have a great speaker system at the KC if it led people to believe there were live instruments in the ground. Eat your heart out, BOSE!

I was in the upper west and the band moved ( Not sure if there were told to ) the pitch side exit between West and North stands

oh, there was a band then. I never heard it (other then the one through the speakers). In that case I agree with an earlier post; weapons should be considered.

Indeed. They were next block to us in NW corner. Very irritating. I don't mind them at Headingley so much, but not at the KC, ta.

the crowd and atmosphere should mean that we get a good fixture(s) in the World Cup.'"
Couldn't agree more. I was working there all day and there was a real sense of excitement about tonight. Hull should be very proud to have hosted such a great occasion.

Because it's embarrassing and cringeworthy when fans can't put aside their club rivalries to support England. If you want to sing Old Faithful, go to FC home and away games, IMO it shouldn't be done at England games.

Thats how I saw it as well. It is very rare to be leaving the KC and not be moaning about something but last night was just one big positive. I was in W2 and everyone was getting behind England.
Edit: One gripe. The concourse noise during minutes silence.
