We can, however, make a pretty good estimate based on current performances and what happened last season in an almost identical situation.

Quote: EXPRO "as you correctly say it counts for little at present however we ARE still there mid tabled ish with a whole host of players to come back over the next three weeks or so all ready for a big push on and up in time for the playoffs ... when it DOES count for diddly squat .'"

Some of our injuries are reported as longer term than that, and our performances were hardly stellar even before we crocked 60% of the salary cap.

Quote: EXPRO "remember we have nearly an international team sat injured.. no team can perform under that cloud'"

They can, however, perform a damned sight better than they have been. Demonstrating some competence with the basic skills of RL would be a start.

That for me is the biggest problem of all the fact we cannot perform even the basic stuff correct.

Its not the results what people have a problem with, or the league position, its the fact that we are by far the most boring and negative team in the competition, we have no back up plan other then 5 drives and a kick apart from the predictable use of Tansey as an extra pivot on the 4th tackle, and more importantly we are making no progress in terms of performances over the past two dreadful seasons, and as if that dosnt put us at a disadvantage enough, the coach makes things worse by not always picking the best players available (Moa the best example of this), questionable interchanges and probabally the biggest evidence to suggest that Agar really dosnt have a clue is his own admission that we dont really study the opposition or change our gameplan to target certain weaknesses, and our game plan generally consists of "If you see it, call it".

This is the worst FC teams in terms of entertainment value I can recall seeing.

There constant on field failings are excused by a coach who blames everybody and everything, the injuries are crucial of course. I can not see another SL team suffer three back to back bad injury years like we have.

Its upto to everyone to decide what they do, I of course do not have a choice other then watch odd matches and aways when I can. Things in this country are going to get a lot worse in the coming years and money will become very tight, people will have to make hard choices. Can you expect to pay out a £200+ a year each to continue watching what is served up as entertainment or do you pick and choose ?

Many will opt to pick and choose simply because they will have little choice

ITS ROUGH ITS TOUGH ITS RUGBY LEAGUE!!!:

Firstly the subject, scarves. My opinion is this is a non starter. Don't think the board would blink an eyelid. I do support the idea of the A4 "agar out" way of thinking especially at televised games. Maybe if we could somehow get the message over to The board and get more fans backing that season passes, merchandise ( I.e. shirts etc ) will be boycotted until Agar is removed or walks, then we shall plow our hard earned money back where we always do- the club we love.

On a seperate note as injuries has reared its head again, does anyone else think that maybe it is ' agars ' fault to a certain extent. Giving the fact its his boring tactics of 5 and a bad kick that our players are taking constant 2/3 man heavy hits all game that may be a cause for it.. he obviously can't " coach " them to pass and move so stick to wot he knows, although does that badly!!. Maybe he should watch the aussies games on sky for some ideas.. I am obviously not an Agar fan and to be honest I never will be. He has had a go and he surely has proven he doesn't have the vision or what it takes to motivate good players. Like I say this is MY opinion.

Quote: Dnats Ynnepeerht "Surely they're trying to raise awareness of the situation at the club and let the board and the football world know their feelings. I'd say they've achieved this.

It could be a purple scarf? The purple, like Man Utd's green & gold, being a reminder of an early 90's kit.

Thing is, our board aren't the problem, it's the coaching staff.'"

The green and gold are the colours of Newton Heath, who later became Manchester United, it's just coincidence that they were the colours of a 90s away kit.

An international team? Is that a literal statement in that the players were born in more than one country? You can't be saying that we have a team of international quality , can you? A team that could live with the Aussies? Some of our "Internationals" may once have played at that level but don't anymore or may aspire to do that in the future ( Briscoe) but not yet. We have one current International class player in Manu. I get sick of these terms that are trotted out by the media , stars and internationals. Professional players being well paid and for the most part underperforming under a poor coaching set up is what we have. I also think that the overall standard of Superleague has gone backwards over the last two or three seasons which perhaps also disguises our decline somewhat during that same period.

I agree. I've felt that way for the last few years. Not enjoying it anymore. No pass for me next year - I'll be more selective.
