| Grix came over really well.
He tells it like it is and is spot on with his assessment of us.
I think with his mindset and winning mentality he should have a positive influence on the team.
It shows he's here to work and make improvements.
Optimism once again flows through me.

But anyone can talk a good game
My point was we need to start doing the action instead of talking about it

We all want that (or at least 99% do), just don't see any issue with having a bit of optimism, as I've said and the post you seem to have ignored, if you don't like the pre season stuff that comes from the club, then just stop following them on social media.
I'd say more fans would be annoyed if the players went into radio silence then gave up some updates and predictions, as others have said some fans read into headlines rather than read the context, Hoy's comments last year been a prime example.

| Some little videos from the first day back at training. Good to see Carlos and Ligi there from Day 1, Hoy with a goose-step maybe shows his hamstring issues are gone, and Jack Brown looks in far better condition than at the same point last year.
No Houghton though from what I could see

| They are now saying Trueman has a chance of being fit for round1. That boosts our options massively.

Yes it does, you would imagine worse case he would miss the first 3/4 games. Allows to have Brown at hooker, just really hope they give Balmforth a chance next year, he might not be good enough or make it but it would be good to see what he can do, particularly early on, as it helps recruitment.

I’m hoping we have a good first few fixtures, playing likes of London & Cas would mean we don’t need to try rush players back. They are on paper weakest squads in league. Either that or play Wigan early as they’ll steamroll most teams next year.
I’m hoping we see 3-4 friendlies this year. Big squad, let the fringes play big minutes and key players can be drip fed in. Rather than 2-3 friendlies with senior players only getting about 60 minutes across them

Our Start to seasons is never a problem
It's once it gets to may/June it falls apart

Agree on the pre season games
Think Smith got it wrong last season and also the pre season training trying to build fitness as the season goes clearly didnt work whilst the high intensity pre season training at HKR was evident to see especially in defence.

| if were honest we don't know what we`re going to get this coming season. Im never sure wholesale changes (that's what it feels like) are good but it was necessary and unavoidable. I would say that there is plenty to be positive about- youth, big boppers year on of TS etc. I think some have pessimistic defaults - maybe they are like that in life?. I don't think we`ll be as bad as last season and yet Smith will not get what he really wants from our performances until 2025. as I say none of us know but I can't wait for February

| Club usually churns out preseason content but so far seem to be very quiet this time round.
These next few weeks are the most important part of our season. Time for players like Tex, Brown (when he comes) and smith to get used to playing as a 6/7 in our systems.
Preseason will make a huge impact on how you perform in a position. Developing the Timing etc of a different position mid season is a different beast than running the systems 5 days a week for 3 months.
You can’t write off how Smith, tex or brown will perform.
Lane & Carlos could have worldie seasons, we just don’t know. It’s on to them to put the graft in on the paddock
We saw how griffin 2022 to 2023 form differed from having a good preseason
Chance for a few young guns to develop and stake their claim.
Pre season is more exciting that who we were going to sign for 2024 as this is what matters

Winning first two that's my point
Are you sure you know what your talking about ? You seem to get everything wrong
Connor isn't the best full back in Super League
Hookem isn't a super league player as you banged on about

Think the players were more the issue rather than training
Ellis got blamed for defence but you can't coach average players if they haven't got it

We lost 7/9, including 40-0 at home to Rovers and 60 points at home to Salford, yeah really good start the season
More lies also about me too, asked you before to prove I said that about either player, but you ignore the post.
You just make stuff up to suit you agenda.
Will apologise if you can show me a post where I said Connor was the best FB in the league and Hookem was good enough to play SL.
