Quote: Chris71 "Without any sensationalism I think our season will come down to our results against Wakey which really doesn’t bode well. Right now as poor as Wakey are they at least have fight in then where as we just roll over.

A loss at Wakey in the next couple of weeks then I really do think we will be favourites fur bottom spot on what we’ve seen dished up so far. The only hope we have left is the return of Clifford & Hoy with the addition of Trueman.'"

Wouldn't surprise me if Wakefield sacked Applegarth before we play them and promoted James Ford, a highly rated young coach.

As you say lets hope that Hoy and Clifford hit the form they showed in the first couple of games and that Trueman doesn't take too long to get into his stride.

Quite right I can't see this team beating Wakey at their place in what will be their cup final. However reading this thread I admire all the talk of us actually surviving a season in the lower divisions. If, as looks likely at present, we were to go down its debatable whether we would actually survive the process financially and even if we do we would lose all our good players (Super League contracts become null and void if you go down) and our youth systems would be decimated as would the progression we are building so well for the potential of youngsters feeding into the first team. Relegation would therefore see our IMG rating go down considerably. Only Leigh (who have had hundreds of thousands thrown at team building) look likely to survive the first year after promotion after years of clubs yo yoing up and down. The only answer to the doomsday scenario is for us to stay up. Something radical has to be done to keep us up and done soon! Why? Well Sadly if it comes to a two or three way dogfight at the bottom come the last 7 or 8 games of the season I can't see this lot having the heart to get us through and keep us up. The middle games of the season are critical for us.

Born Black and White Die Black and White Hull will give us a tough game but the key is to silence their fans in the Threepenny Stand. We have to do this because if we do'nt they will get behind their side and lift them in a way you've never seen, heard or witnessed before. Quote: Steve0 "It'll just be for one year until the IMG grading comes in anyway...'"

That's what has been niggling away at me SteveO.The sseemingly unconcern of the situation from the hierarchy at the club and the willingness to just let TS get on with it irrespective of the week on week losses. Do you think that they have had the nod that IMG plan for non relagation has been brought forward to 2023.Even with just a year out of Super League would be disastrous. Just a thought or am I clutching at straws.

Another reason for our demise has been our lack of quality youngsters coming through

Likes of lane, fash, Brown, bowden, matongo, Wynne, Scott, mcnamara are all bang average

Even fash and Brown won't get close to a England call up

Which sums it all up

Adam Pearson said last night, "We cannot come out of this hole without you, the supporters. Sod everyone else, ignore them, go against modern sporting rules and dig in with us. If it hasn't improved by the end of the season then feel free to pack my bags!"

If the writing isn't on the wall there then it never will be, he's even getting to the point of having had enough!!!

There are 6 or 7 thousand fans who will never desert the club whatever, some say they will not go again etc. that's fine but we all know they will because , unlike in football where if City are losing you can revert to supporting Liverpool they have no where else to go, its our club, its been our life so we pays our money and try to look happy. However as well, I think (and I'll get pilloried for this) Adam is right that with a proven new coach whose hands have been tied by other peoples poor recruitment, we should stand by our club and 'sod everyone else' they might criticise Pearson but, for us at present, he is all we have and as such he's poured a lot of money into our club (I remember what the Huddersfield fans were saying about their owner just a couple of seasons ago and the vitriolic posts on the Warrington board at this time last year) but without him we would not have a club to support,

However he has got to understand too that although we will never desert them as a Club, we as stakeholders have every right to an opinion, more of a right than the written media, Sky TV, the RL intelligencia or the little boys and girls who come on here gloating out their opinions from the east of the City. That's why boards like this one are by and large so useful. We moan and groan and enquire whether there's a Weatherspoon's in Rochdale or Keighley, but we still back the club we love.

Adam Pearson may finance it and boy am I glad he has done over the past 12 years, but in the end it's our bloody club!!! That's a fact, so for me we have to dig in and try to give Pearson, Clark, Smith and the "Culture Club' out on the field all the support we can and as our owner says, judge them by where we are as a team at the end of the season. For many people it appears both inside and outside the club this is feeling a bit like the last chance saloon. At present for me Survival will be enough Just my view of course and no doubt up for being shot down as usual.

We are in it but things to consider are I personally think Fev are going to get told their ground isnt up to scratch and cant come up

IMG also dont seem keen on more overseas teams and it seems Toulouse have some financial challenges, so can see a no being said there too.

Our trump card is IMG wont want to lose 10k fans and a good stadium from their shiny new project.

But staying up through default or franchise games would be embarassing and we need the players to sort themselves out and restore some pride.

Yeah great but i live in the north east now - Coming to the HKR game cost me over £250 with hotel and it was utter dross. I could of had a nice night away somewhere far better for that money. If thjere was 15000 FC fans at that games with half paying for tickets id hazard a guess that not one fo those will be buying tickets again in a hurry. Ive spent £200 on FC clobber as well this season that im now embarrassed to wear. Thats how low a lot of fans are feeling. Totally let down

I don't think Fev would have spent the money they have on their squad this year if their ground isn't good enough for super League, I've never been but you'd think if Cas' can be a top flight ground, so can Fevs. Toulouse's biggest problem is they have to pay for each team to travel to them, which Catalan dont, so they're at a 500k a year disadvantage to other teams in the league,.hopefully something IMG can address if they do get a license. The French teams do seem to do better off the field than UK teams, Catalan attracted €5m this year in sponsorship, something we could only dream of currently

Fev definetely need need new Floodlights but that should be fairly simple to solve, other stands were second hand from Scarborough and even that is many years ago now. I just cant see IMG wanting Cas, Wakefield (with new stands) or Hull to drop for Fev. And this isnt a normal year for the sport theyve made it quite clear they intend to pick and choose who is coming into SL.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason. -[i:1c45x4hd]Emmitt Smith[/i:1c45x4hd]:

“Dogfight” is a rather grandiose term for sitting back and letting it happen. I suppose it’s alright because Wakey are definitely going down. a046.gif

The pressure of playing Wakefield in a relegation dogfight with a team full of bottlers doesn't fill me with any hope what so ever . Get that 90's feeling again .

Our only chance to stay up is to get the team right (which I don't think Smith knows yet), this will hopefully include no Mcintosh, Lane, Lovodua and playing players who work hard like Cator for longer minutes.

Need to get the spine playing, nearly impossible to win with your first choice 1,6 and 7.

I know we are in a relegation fight along with Wakey, but watching Cas on Thursday, I would include them, especially if Last gets the job
