| Jake is the best player we’ve had in many years
A future Hall of Fame if we don’t him off with average coaching and he leaves

| Will always be a rocks n diamonds player, my frustration is I think he could be sooooo much better and maybe hit the NRL - in his defence we are just so reliant on him for attack, which puts him under pressure unlike similar players elsewhere with more strike players.
Credit to him & BH, I do see improvement this year, less rocks & more diamonds. His lack of pace is a problem at full back but lets face it everybody knows it, only a problem when broken from deep & he is defending alone. Field has embarassed MANY this year & is exceptional in SL this year.

Hard to remember a player in the last 20 years whose game has been more scrutinized, everytime he makes a mistake people mention it or shoes a clip of it, if he plays well it's because the opposition is bad, he has been very good in lots of games, including against top teams and at international level.
He hasn't been great the last two games, but most of the team hasn't, but he gets most of the criticism. Despite this he still help create trys and opportunities, the rest of the big players need to step up and take some pressure off Connor.
You certainly can't criticises his effort the last two games, certainly not our worst player, but he gets all the criticism.
Lack of pace and needs to work on his one on one play with Hodgson, he has proved when playing 6 and centre he can defend.
Positives far outweigh his negatives.
I'd like to see us sign a FB and use Connor at halfback with Truman next season.'"
Your trying to say Connor is better than French and field wow
Our fans really don't help at time hyping up ok players to be the best in super league
And then when we fail come end of the season they are surprised

Centre is different your in the line with players around you
Full back your on your own if a player breaks the line and he gets found out defensively far too many times
Lplohea isn't even fast yet Connor made him look like Usain bolt!

No he wouldn’t, 2 on 1 wins every time. Your letting your hatred of everything FC rule your head again.

Cause he looks like a world beater against the small minnow teams
Yet flops big time in the big games as I've said loads of times
Difference is now is more people are now starting to realise it
His defence for a full back is a total embarrassment

| Behave, Connors quality, made a couple of errors recently but so have a few more. I don't see many chewing Swift up for dropping two walk ins recently, or Griffin questioned due to his repeated sloppy play.
By far and away our most creative outlet, I do not get the negativity towards him, take Connor out and we look blunt Fact.

| For me and the little I know, Connor is a a maverick and a rare commodity in our staid and predictable game at present. His timing and vision is amazing at times. Every team would love to have one but few teams do. If he has a 'quiet' game it is usually because our players can't read what he is about to do and react too slowly, or the opposition have been overtly preoccupied watching his every move and if the rest can't capitalise on that situation, it is hardly his fault. But I believe all the same that Rovers will undoubtably be discussing 'stopping Connor' right now.
Fact is he is a match winner perhaps he has a bit of an issue with his temperament and his belief that he can do it all on his own, but for me I'd always have him in my team. Incidentally those of us who were honoured to watch him play will no doubt remember that Mick Crane was a similar maverick too and he was slower than the tea lady in his latter years but Bunting used to get his second rowers and his centres to follow him around the field all afternoon and the tries followed. As I say just my views.

Who knows if Jamie Shaul would have stopped Lolohea but you can bet he would have been in position to stop the McQueen try

I'd doubt many fullback would have been able to stop that, kicked early in the tackle, risky play, but perfectly executed.

Yeah I'm with you. Can't remember exactly what they did but I'm sure there was a bit of a switch play where they turned it quickly back inside before putting the kick through so Connor was already having to make a quick unexpected turn. It was a 2nd tackle play, hardly any full back would have been expecting a kick then. A great set play by Huddersfield that should be praised for creativity rather than a chance to have a pop at Connor.
I expect to see Rovers try something similar on Friday to be honest after seeing how well Huddersfield executed it

I have always questioned Griffin as a centre.Slow, poor defence and poor ball handling yet several fans on here think he is a worldbeater and International quality. This season we have seen everything i said highlighted and he should be benched and Connor Wynne given a run at left centre but i have said it before Hodgson is too loyal to some senior players.
Connor on the other hand makes things happen when he has the ball in attack.Yes he makes errors in trying things and his lack of pace is highlighted at full back but we need his attacking flair.
I was against using Connor at six and always thought his best position was at centre but think Hodgson may have to make a u turn and think about playing Connor at 6 especially next season and seriously think about bringing a full back with pace into the club for next season

More RLFans hyperbole. Who has said Griffin is a world beater?
Many said before his 2021 injury he was showing international form - not just Hull supporters.

| Quote: Chris71 "To be quite honest I think one of the issues we had on Saturday was the unsettled halfback pairings, up until Gale came back we seemed to have some success in the halves with McNamara and Lovodua as they seemed to have gelled well and seemed to enable Connor to do what he does well. With the return of Gale a week earlier and then Reynolds during the game on Saturday it showed that they've played very little as a unit. In hindsight it may have been better to have stuck with what was working with Connor, McNamara & Lovodua.
However the issue of mind set, indiscipline and slow/lazy line speed is always going to have us on the back foot and chasing the game which we know all too well.'"
Perhaps - but two of the three games were Leeds and Sheffield. A little different to Wigan and Huddersfield away.

Sorry but once again, no he wouldn’t. My opinion is that no team would have defended that try, kick early in the tackle count like that would have fooled everyone. It was a class move and should be applauded, not making excuses by blaming Connor. I would also add, like Talentless Boy, your dislike of FC is ruling your head.
