|
| .... what assets did the club sell ?
Insurance claims against the HRI is a very profitable business, I'm told.

| It’s an indirect plea to the Council, SMC and potential investors.
Things need to happen now.
The reason why he’s referencing HKR is because he’s probably aware of the cut price deal they got for Caravan Park, and the debts owed to HCC that has been written off.
Glad we got the win in 2016. As long as there is a piece of turf with a team in irregular hoops I’ll be there, whichever the division.
Still be the biggest RL club in Hull.

| I’m a little shocked by the news and well done AP for outing it and his explanation. I’m always a bit blasé about this sort of thing because FC’s always been there ticking away in the background for the majority of my lifetime but this is a real death knell. I know Wilf issued wake up calls in the recent past but in all seriousness, what is the average fan capable of doing? Every pass holder sticking £10 in is only £60,000, a drop in the ocean to debts of millions. I’m lucky in respect that I’m retired and comfortably ok money wise but incapable of investing anything in the club and assume that most are in the same boat. I really am at a loss to think of anything the average fan can do apart from being a pass holder and and purchases from the club shop.

3,500 didn't even do that.

| Not surprising all this at all.
Straight to the kitty gritty.
How is the club ownership structured?
Can a share scheme be introduced, for example if Adam owns 100%of the club could 49% be put up for sale and funds raised this way?
Anybody know the finer details

| Didn't Pearson announce this in January, not sure why people are shocked.
I think the fact we are spending the cap, investing in the youth, renewing contracts and recruiting for next season says things aren't as bad as being reported.
Who do we owe money to?

If the £1.2m was a working loss the bank I would suspect.

| It wasn't that long ago (possibly last year) some fans were talking off forming some sort of group to help with extra funding for the club but Adam said it was not needed . It seems quite a bit has changed in such a short period of time . Maybe the ball needs to start rolling on this by those who want to help our club .

| .... at the beginning of last year AP was talking about getting gates back to above "normal" when the pandemic ended.
Cleary that never happened and attendances were down by about 5k on expectations, probably totalling around £500k.

| Obviously the losses are real, but I don't believe it's as bad as people say, I think we're nowhere near going bust I believe this is a ploy by Adam to get people to buy passes for next season and to get fans through the gates now.
The issue with the smc and lease is concerning and needs sorting but I firmly believe it will get resolved and everyone will be happy.
The absolute glee from rovers fans on social media over this is pathetic, they have nothing over us on the field and can not match our recent success that they have to resort to points scoring over our financial situation, if we've made a loss then it stands to reason that most clubs have made a loss which puts the game in an even more precarious position .

I haven't seen the accounts, so not sure, Pearson did say the bank wouldn't help us last year.
Maybe the SMC and RFL also.

| The stadium is our biggest problem the rent is just ridiculous
But I'm not worried cause we're a big club with a decent fan base
And 99% of sport teams esp football are all in huge debts miles bigger than our debts

Don’t like to see any club in financial difficulty. You are surely suggesting that FC fans would not do exactly the same are you if the boot wa# on the other foot?

| Football clubs are in far bigger holes look at Derby Bury Macclesfield for example
Clubs in championship spending 60,000 a week on some players on crowds of 20,000 shows why football is in the state it is
Clubs spending more than 100% of the income on wages/transfers
