The season isnt fit for purpose and is there just to satisfy Sky - for me anyone who wins this years grand final from a false league position makes the grand final a sham and not one that should be recognised in the same way as others - it'll be more of a show final - yes the players may want to perform to their best but its a win that will never be truly remembered as a proper grand final win'"
Wigan are top but if they lose will drop to third.

Earlier this year I would have agreed with you...however I think this season is much more challenging due to the number of disruptions. As someone already pointed out, it's a minefield for clubs/coaches/players to prepare for matches.
We're used to watching teams battle their way through 20-30 league and CC matches in a season but I think whoever can win SL this year really deserves it under the circumstances.

For years I can’t recall seeing a breakdown of prize money for the play offs or the Challenge Cup.
Do the remember the League Leaders get any prize money or just the Hub Cap?

I was really thinking of the absence of supporters, and will the prize money still be the same, I think I recall the Grand final winners received £100,000 with the losers getting £50,000.
Can’t recall the CCup winners/losers split, but without supporters paying, and pre paid tickets presumably refunded, have we the resources to pay.

IIRC, prize money is determined by league positions, and league positions are determined by success in the playoffs.
e.g. If Hull somehow miraculously win the GF, we will be considered 1st, Saints 2nd (losing GFists), Wigan 3rd (highest ranked semi loser), Leeds 4th, Warrington 5th (highest ranking quarter final loser) and Catalans 6th (lowest ranked QF loser).

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Apart from Shaul and Kelly are we right to assume everyone is available for consideration? Connor obviously had his knee iced up, plus Jones recovering from Covid but we should also see Griffin back. Based on original plan for the Derby that was disrupted due to Griff's covid protocol reckon we'll go
Griffin
Faraimo
Tuimavave
Fonua
Naulago
Connor
Sneyd
Taylor
Johnstone
Bowden
Ma'u
Jones
Savelio
Houghton
Satae
Sao
Cator
Must be a big question over Jones obviously.'"
Moving Connor from full back, might as well give them the game.
He is having his best performances there and has made the biggest impact on team performance from there. He makes little to no impact at stand off, it just doesn't suit him.
Connor at FB and anyone at SO would be better than moving Connor from FB.
Personally, I'd have Tui there, with an option to move Houghton there if needed.
Griffin and Fonua at centre could go well, but gives an option to swap Tui in if necessary.
But please God, don't move Connor from FB. He's our best full back.

Aggregate score against them this year is 75-16. We are 33/1 to win the comp, Warrington 6/1.
