| Richard Agar on criticism: It's social media-driven. Eamonn McManus described social media as an open sewer and I don’t have much time for it. I’m being judged by people who’ve got less knowledge. I don't think I'll ever win the PR battle, but we've got a cup on the table."

Much the same from Arsene Wenger...

It was referenced in the post match press conference with Agar yesterday apparently, and we would recognise that a lot of people have been critical of him throughout his career. Sinfield got slated by some for appointing him but you'd have to say this morning it looks like a good move. It's more a comment on the level of criticism and negativity that characterises social media, "open sewer" is a decent description by McManus IMO. And that perhaps those actually involved in day to day club and sport operations are better placed to make informed decisions than the Facebook/Twitter extremists.

| No wonder Cas went for Evalds over Shaul, him and Myler (except one mistake) showed how a modern day FB should play. Thought it was a good game won by the best team.
Fair play to Agar, looks to have learnt from previous head coach stints, although he has been given a better set of tools, still not convinced he is a top SL coach though.

Who would you say is? Serious question. I'm not sure.

Not in those words, but I've seen lots saying Agar has proven people wrong etc. He has some work still to do for that IMO.

Thanks I understand now, on Rich Agar, it never worked out for him as top man in Hull, I met him once at a fans forum at the new Hull truck place in town, he came across as such a charming guy,
I wanted Salford to win yesterday, for historic reasons, but I was also pleased for Rich to get his well earned rewards.
Social media is a difficult one, probably best on another thread, we have placed the sword of Damocles in the hands of Luddites and scholars alike, and the fair minded have to read them both.

It must be a bit of a dilemma for Cas, they’ve signed Evalds, and yet, are offering O’Brien a contract.
