Squad depth wasn't that the mantra for this season. I thought we wanted quality over quantity going forward? Can't say I'm over excited by Swift's imminent signing. We need a new pack.

Given how many of our successful signings this board has been critical of initially I'll reserve judgement until our recruitment is completed and I've seen him play.
If we spend big on a world class winger then some would complain we were wasting cap on wingers and if we get in solid players then we are signing rubbish.

Complaints about signing an English winger who was Saints first choice till Eden Grace’s rise to prominence? Struggling to be positive about this. Won't let us down but also won't win us any games. Just a barrier to any potentially decent kids coming through. Liam Colbon type of signing for me. Better than Dawson though, so if we're getting rid of him it's an improvement.

If fans question the signing of Swift then why not Dawson?
Swift is far better wing than Dawson and brings a bit of pace. |
