Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| Pearson said if needs be they'll be dual-reg'd, the difficult bit is finding replacements, some people seem to think they grow on trees.
It's like saying Watts wasn't replaced, by who???????

This is it absolutely
Getting beat by 70 points isn’t down to 3 or 4 players
It’s down to the attitude of the whole squad

| Quote: jamesg794 "After reading Pearson's comments I for one am more excited than I have been in a long time regarding FC moving forward. It's gone from having no recruitment for next year (which has been so obvious that we need) to bringing in fresh faces. It has been so frustrating that we continue to play as if we have the biggest pack in the league whereas really this is far from the case.
Because of Radford's reluctance to play any different to battering it through the middle I feel that we really need to add some serious size to the pack. I personally don't think are backs are bad at all, they have been given no favours from our forwards and it's annoying that we have no structure, depth and set moves in attack to hit the outside.
I would love a player like Fifita to come in, as well as someone like Murdoch-Masila, however this seems too unrealistic. It is also blindingly obvious that we need a new face in the coaching team to set up attacking plays. My dream scenario would be;
Out
Which Fifita do you mean?
If you mean Wakefield’s David then you’re miles out. Wakefield won’t let him go and due to certain issues they have a lot of leverage in his case.
However that’s not my main issue - I simply can’t think of a player less suited to a club like yours. Dave is a great lad and a real joker and that fits well at Wakey where he’s a big fish in a smaller pond. You only see his big games but sometimes he simply doesn’t turn up.
His team mate cover for him as he does for them because that’s how it works at Wakefield. I can’t see that happening at a club that’s bound to have more players with big egos.
I may be wrong but I don’t see Dave thriving at a more high pressure club like Hull - it just doesn’t suit him imo. Remember whilst Andrew was ripping up the NRL David had to come to Wakefield and drink in the last chance saloon.
It was kismet really, Dave might look like Andrew but he isn’t.
If it’s Andrew you want go for it.

If a player is duel registered do they become exempt from your salary cap? I genuinely don't know the answer.

edit and wrong ! Simply the top 25 earners, dual registered are still included on the parent club cap.

We've enough injury problems without having players registered for duels.
Unless you meant "dual registered", of course.

Maybe this is how we get rid of 4 players.

| Justin Carney worth a punt? Decided to leave Rovers despite Sheens wanting to keep him apparently - was excellent against Leeds.

It was great. If nothing else he's completely unpredictable and full of energy, worth selecting on that basis alone at the moment.
