Never understood why OAP's get discounts, what is wrong is that it's different at different clubs, by 2020 the retirement age is going to be 66, any discounts should be linked to whatever the state retirement age is.

I too enjoy my concession and have done for five years. My lovely lady passed away at 64 after working most of her life as a nurse and enjoyed her pension for 6 months. Swings and roundabouts as they say. Anyone knocking concessions etc. Needs an head tap, but like de Murphy’s, I’m not bitter, unlike some.

I have been retired 13years,and after leaving the railway,I still get my free travel travel on the trains,which enabled me to attend all the home games when I was healthier,how about that bumpy.? Suppose you will be emailing the minister of transport now,to cry your eyes out over that.

Wow Hessle Roader 76 and still going, super effort, these young whipper snappers, don’t know what’s coming to them ALL.
I wouldn’t mind but I did pay for all the tickets, as good dads and grandads will, it was just some clubs discount at 60, and others 65.

It was the same with the disabled fans. Some clubs gave concessions, some didn't and some gave the carer concessions only. Now with the DDA coming in a few years ago, just about every club's (not sure on Championship clubs) policy is the disabled person pays full price and the carer goes free. This usually goes for most other venues too. The clubs should have a universal policy on concessions, that way everyone knows where they are. |

Why should over 60s (especially those still in work) get in to games for less money than other adults?
