| Quote: Irregular Hoops "Hes our only real running attacking threat near the line. Great tackler as well for a half back.
No chance of replacing him with similar quality, so hope we manage to retain him.'"
I think we might have a few weeks to ascertain just how we do manage without him now though!

| On playing ability he'd walk into every club in SL. He's the most exciting player we've had for years, lets just appreciate him while he's here.

| Injury prone?
Played 29 games last year.
10/13 this year, due to a head knock.
If we can, have to keep him, one of he best players in the league, if pack play is fantastic. Having him fit and in form gives us a chance on winning something this season and in the near future.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

... and 3 this season for a bad concussion.
It's odd how players are now becoming "injury prone". Mini was classed as such before he'd even missed his first game in 9. Talanoa's another one who's only missed 1 this season.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "If you were going to bracket SL players equally into Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor and Very Poor and say clubs have roughly 30 players in a squad, that would put 120 players above Kelly. Not sure I'd agree. Comparing him only to Barba who's here in fairly unusual circumstances playing behind an excellent pack is a bit unfair IMO. Kelly was in my top 3 FC players this year and with Watts gone is a standout for us IMO. Just an opinion.'"
It’s arguable whether an even sixth of players belong in each category. More a slice of a normal distribution, innit.
Irrespective, in terms of ability, Kelly is an excellent SL player.

| Barba is only here by default in a way, and he'll be back in the NRL before long.
Like I say, there's absolutely no chance of replacing Kelly with a similar quality player. There's very few players of real quality in Super League anymore. It seems an age away when Super League teams were able to sign the likes of Barrett, Finch et al.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Why is barba only here by default?
Kelly's better than alot of nrl halves, I suspect Manly would have made a play for him if it wasn't for cap issues.

| Maybe because Cronulla sacked him for testing positive for cocaine for the second time and no NRL club would take the risk of signing him at that time.
Now he has been "rehabilitated" Shane Flanagan wants him back.

Did it happen like that?
He could have been free to play round 13 last year if he didn’t need the cash Toulon were offering.
He had a 12 game ban, he served it over here and has been free to play rl in any country since.

Thats utter made up rubbish
Theres probably five excellent players in SL, 20 very good, 20 good, 100+ average and so on. Super League is generally 5hite, the fact that you think Kelly is excellent shows how average the whole league is.
As for games started by Kelly look at the stats for games finished too as it'll be a lot lower especially this season yet some are saying throw marquis status at him.
Also the fact that he is our only attacking threat is sad enditement on the club and coaching as a whole

That's fine as an opinion. You think there are 25-44 better players than Kelly in the competition. I disagree and given he was on a shortlist of 3 for Man of Steel last season and in the Dream Team there's a chance others would agree. I really enjoy watching him play. He is very talented.

If he hadn't have received an NRL ban, he wouldn't have (eventually) ended up in Super League. He's here solely to work his way back into the NRL.
