Abdul has played really well he plays like a forward and he will be a really good 13 I feel I think he will end up playing there for us the way it's going

He'll be needed in the halves when Hudds take Ellis back.

What recent form, I haven't seen him have one great game this year, his stats for go forward and defence are terrible.

I've seen more from Fash in 3 games then I've seen from Thompson in 2 seasons.

I do respect your views Dave, but you cannot solely go in stat when assessing a player. I recently saw Manu's missed tackle count in a couple of games was very high, but I would not drop him.

I doubt Washbrooks go forward was all that much last season (when coming on to play in the back row) yet there would have been an outcry if he had been dropped.

I dont really understand why Thompson is getting the criticism he gets.

Its not so much criticism as a lot of people just don't think he's up to it. Yes looks like he had a good game at weekend but let's be honest most weeks he's below average at this level

I agree with Thompson, I wouldn't renew his contract. Doesn't do enough for me. Getting his nose through the line with a change of speed once every three or four games doesn't cut it with me
