I rather have our settled team than bring someone in half way round the world to take someone's place that could unsettle the squad

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "If that's your semi-final team I'd put a big lump on Wigan
Sam Tomkins
Manfredi
Gildart
Charnley
Tierney
Wiliams
Shorrocks
Crosby
McIlorum
Mossop
Farrell
Joel Tomkins
O'Loughlin
And then
Sutton
Bretherton
Powell
Burke
plus
Sarginson
Smith
Clubb
Bateman
We could also add
Gregson
Waterworth
Higginson
Wells
All played first team this season.'"
Are they all Wigan born as wasn't Charnley born in Preston and mcllorum Leeds?
Id still fancy our chances with a all English team as you still wouldn't be able to handle our pack. You may have the edge in wingers but our half backs are easily on par with yours and on current form,Sneyd id far better than Smith.

McIlorum is definitely from Leeds. Neither of the Tomkins' are originally from Wigan. Suspect half the others aren't either. Wigan have a great youth set up and fair play to them for that, but to your point I'd give us more than a fighting chance with a team of Shaul, Landaster, Logan, Yeaman, Naughton, Pryce, Sneyd, Taylor, Houghton, Watts, Ellis, Hadley, Thompson, Bowden, Green, Washbrook and Turgut (10 of whom are Hull born by my reckoning) against any team Wigan can put out.
We'll not find out, though, because of the rules allowing us to play our excellent overseas contingent, something Wigan have used as a key component of their success over the last 30-odd years.

No they're not all born in Wigan, but baring Mossop and McIlorum in those first 17 names played amateur in Wigan. Wells started at Folly Lane and Higginson in Rochdale but joined Wigan at scholarship U15/U16 level.

| Don't really understand what all the fuss is about. Wane spouts this sort of rhetorical rubbish all the time. He's obviously not happy at facing us in the semi's. Probably expected to play Wakey (no disrespect to them) at Widnes at a time of their choosing, given how important the are. All that matters is winning. I'm confident that we'll be within the rules with the side we put out. Couldn't say about Wigan either way. The winner plays in the final. I BELIEVE that it will be us.

Great post. Let's let the bookies decide who the favourites are and crack on with the league campaign for the next few weeks. Exciting times.

I think it winds people up more because the pie fans keep his bull going by arguing about it which you have to admit is quite remarkable seen as they have to share the one brain cell that there is between them.

| To be honest if Wane thinks a backhanded dig at Hull FC and the players is mind games then he is a bigger idiot than he looks. He really is a poor advert for a SL Coach with the comments he comes out with. If any other coach had come out with the stuff he's come out with this season the RFL's kitty would be full to the brim in fines especially after his outburst pre their game against HKR, but as its Wigan he gets away with it.
Just hope we absolutely muller Wane and his team of 'youth players' in the semi

| This is why I love the Challenge Cup. A month to go and the banter has started already, then (fingers and everything else crossed) another month before the final.
Twitter was comedy gold yesterday.
Wigan should have been able to choose where the game is held because their name was out first so it's a home fixture.
Do we know how long it takes to get across the M62 on a Friday night? (Erm yes we do thanks. Welcome to our world.)
Oh and one of their fans has calculated it will take us 22 minutes to get from Hull to the Keepmoat! (I can't get to the KCOM from my house in 22 minutes!!!)

I work in Thorne and will be going straight from here. I can pretty much guarantee it'll take me longer than 22 minutes to get there and I have a massive advantage on anyone travelling from Hull!!

| Wane is just an ignorant gorilla, does it matter who has what as long as its in the rules of the game. His outburst before our game about the fans was laughable considering they name their fans on the team sheet at No18. Still that one worked for him as he practically bought the ref that day.
This outburst will just do Radfords team talk for him, I normally support anyone Hull's playing but I'm trying to work out how both teams could lose this one at the same time..
