OLD FAITHFUL PAL OF MINE: |

I expect defeat.
We need a Saints cup performance to snatch a high scoring, close game. Anything less and we will lose.
However I dont see it as season defining, we will return and win the rest of our regular season games.

| The good thing about this week, in my opinion, is that we are playing another top 4 team. The further away we can pull away from 5th as a group of 4 teams, the better.
We saw at the back end of last year what a team with nothing to play for looks like. Let's make the rest of the top 8 'make up the numbers' and not have a sniff at the 4. It might make it boring to watch, but it'll be the best outcome for our chances of reaching the Grand Final.

Finishing top at the end of it all just means the tea lady gets a whole season of carrying the chairman's brew on a fancy tray.
There really isn't any more advantage finishing top to finishing 2nd. As a Wire fan 1 or 2 will do me, if we win Friday I think we'll finish on top at the split that's all. I'm kind of hoping all the top 4 clubs do a number on Saints and Cas too, to keep them away and cement the top 4 | | | |

Utter nonsense my ass. No one on here expects us to win and I doubt anyone in the media expects us to win. We can win if we play to our potential but if we don't win then worst case scenario we're on not top due to points difference. best case scenario we're 4 points clear of wire. All of the pressure is on wire. | | |

I think finishing top would do us more harm for the play offs. I'd rather we finished 2nd personally then we don't have the plate presentation and any euphoria that surrounds it. You only have to look at huddersfield when they won it | | | |

Age old dilemna, stick with a winning team? Watts deffo, Frank deffo if fit after all it was supposed to be a virus that kept them out. Leon v Carlos? Glad Radders has to make the decision, me, I wouldn't split the new half back pairing, as I said in an earlier post, Carlos hasn't done anything wrong and is growing into the position and partnership with Sneeeeed. The club seem to have gone for a new centre and want Carlos at half back, dropping him would smack of Abdul, would you drop Fonua or Michaels????? We're are in uncharted territory, top of the pile and team spirit unmatched in the competition, I think we'll win Friday. |

When the trophy cabinet is as devoid of silverware as ours, I will take the tea tray thanks! 
It's embarrassing having it full of Championship play-off winning trophies won by our co-tenants ffs!! |

Whilst I might settle for 2nd right now and perhaps more importantly with a big gap to whomever ends up 5th, I would sooner finish 1st as I think it is a good achievement. I wish it had a higher profile and more recognition, it certainly doesn't deserve to be sneered at.
Looking forward to Friday's game and of course a reverse of our away fixture

id rather us have a big gap between the teams 5th and below, even if it means not sitting first at the split, bigger the gap less pressure to win all games in the 8s, maybe even resting a couple of bodies for the semis' (if we make them of course) |

If you guys win on Friday, its either you or Wigan to finish top. You'll be 4 clear of us and we have Catalan the week after which is another tough game. I just want enough clear distance between the current top 4 and the rest to guarantee being in the playoffs.
