I think Whiting's value to the club is far greater than any salary he will be drawing as has been proven on numerous occasions over the years. He is still the only player in superleague to play 1 to 13 in a single season! A feat that will probably not be repeated. If he has any coaching aspirations I'd like to think, given his obvious talents and character that the club has plans to retain him in some capacity. If he makes a permanent move away from the club I can't imagine many having anything but praise for him and his service to our club.

I hope it is only going to be a loan and not made a permanent move, as others have said his value for his knowledge of the game and how to play it is exemplary both on and off the field.
Having him involved at our club for me is invaluable. |
