Let me know if Bradford Northern still have them sponge finger thingies and the monkey on a quad bike dancing to Wooly Bully. PM me and I'll let you know where the best Weatherspoon is in Sheffield.

| At the start of the year our (realistic) goal was to ensure we maintained our SL spot. We've achieved that by securing a top eight place. Given the current state of the club infrastructure, the quality of the first team squad and the (much discussed) shortcomings of the coaching set-up, our position in SL is around the 7th/8th spots. To that end we are probably par for the course.
As for part 2 of the season, we're under no real pressure as such. No one is expecting us to make the top 4 play-offs and it will be difficult (but not completely impossible) to achieve that goal. Because of the low expectations we can go out and take a free swing in the remaining eight games and hopefully upset a few teams along the way.
I'd like to see us go out and play some expressive rugby. The team have shown, on occasions, that they are capable of giving the ball some air and this really is an opportunity to express themselves a little and entertain us in the process.
After the debacle of the Easter Derby I was convinced we would be bottom two nevermind bottom four, so the team deserve credit for working hard and rescuing the season to a reasonable extent. We may not be exactly uprooting trees but at least we're still in with the elite group.

| Good post, the pressures off for us now. Would love to see us beat the Pies on Thursday though, should have won at their place earlier in the season. More than anything I really want a win over the Whino's this season.

It's the turning up we're worried about.

| we could have done with Hudds losing today, if we [ican[/i 'kick on' being as close to the 4th pos team could potentially give us a ray of hope to snatch a play-off spot.
That said with Hudds having Wakey at home it's going to take 5 (more) wins for us to get near to 4th, given how tough the 8s are going to be that's a very tall order. Not impossible but I hope we can get some semblance of respectability and give it a real good go and not go back into our shells. A win against Wigan would be massive, shame we didn't do them at their place when we had chances.
