He was right in the end: |

Since when have we started using this lots?
We've played sunday/friday a million times. And just this year i see more and more posters bleating on about this.

They've been using it since Radford started using it. I agree it's not valid as any sort of excuse, it's been this way for quite a few years now.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

| No drama about Rankin. We have the first choice half backs and full back in the team so he misses out.
IMO he stifles the attack, not enhances it.

Cant see Radford not playing Yeaman which is a shame because either Michaels or Naughton will drop out.
Just wish we would persevere with Rankin at 9.Shauls try at Saints shows what pace can do from acting half.'"
Ellis not back till between Salford and Warrington, Westerman to play but then may need small operation

| Was interesting listening to FC Live last Sunday. When Leon went off Ellis stated its time for Rankin to step up and show what he can do. Or words to that effect. Basically implying this was his chance. From what I've read and seen of that match he didn't really do that.
Just my thoughts on how to interpret Ellis' words buty I'd say Rankin has been told to up his game and despite the passion and desire he is not cutting it with the coaching staff.
Passion and desitre and "getting it" only take you so far. Lets face it if any of us on here had a chance to play first team for Hull FC we'd have passion and desire and "get it" but we wouldn't last long.

| Rankin is never a half back. Not a bad FB - better in attack than shaul but shaul is excellent under teh high ball and his defensive positioning is better than rankin. It seems we've moved on and rankin going home after this season

He was never any good anyway, just that weve been so used to dross in the halfs for years that even someone slightly better than that looks like a world beater to some

I wouldn't put it quite as harsh as that, but in essence that is correct.
Great enthusiasm, but not quite good enough to be a halfback.

| Reading hdm looks like yeaman might be playing Fri. Think that's a bad move unless we have injuries there

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.

Hudds have a pretty big back line ans 2nd rowers,Radford may be wary of them running at Micheals so a centre pairing of Yeaman and Talona may be a good move.

Radford will drop Naughton, easiest option for him, hopefully I am wrong.

I echo your sentiments as well Dave..
Looks likely Westerman will miss out.. Thompson or Abdull?
