| Once Taylor told wane he wanted to move to Hull, he wasn't happy. Wane lined up for next England coach and told Taylor if at Hull he won't be getting picked for England.

| The biggest issue with scott taylor getting picked for england is that Scott taylor isn't up there with the 4 best props in the league

Thats basically it,when he said he wanted to come to hull, thats why they took the option of another year in the hope of getting a transfer fee for him,and we weren't willing to pay what they asked,we became the last club he would go on loan to,typical wane/wigan.

While we all no doubt envy their on the pitch success and things such as their academy, everything else about the way that club is run is extremely dislikeable and done with such arrogance, a trait which filters down to their players and fans.

I agree with him, I'd have Hill, Graham and Tom and George Burgess as our four props.
Then there is the likes of Amor, Huby and Walmsley, who have all been better than Taylor this year.
Also Cooper who has been gettign very good reviews in the NRL.

| Taylor was great until these rumours surfaced. Then his form went west for a while but he seemed to have settled down and started playing well again. Next thing you know the rumours start again and he's dropped never to be seen again.
Wigan aren't in the wrong at all for exercising their right to have him on contract for 2015. We afterall paid a fee for him and I presume we want some (and possibly all) of that back. Maybe Wigan would loan him to Hull but if your cap is spent what can Wigan do about that? I'd be stunned to see him loaned to Leeds so Huddersfield seems most likely. I'd imagine they'll pay a small fee for that loan or Wigan may look for some sort of swap deal (Larne Patrick has been a target in the past).
All in all I don't think you can expect Wigan to just let him walk away for free.

| Am I the only Hull fan thinking that I can completely understand Wigan's stance if the stories are true? Club pays significant transfer fee for player, player tries to engineer move to specific club whilst still under initial contract, club in question don't want to pay fee quoted. Damn right I wouldn't be loaning him to that club, if they want him it would be on my terms.
Say we'd had a cast-iron case with Cooke after he walked out and the RFL had refused to ratify his move, how many on here would have been happy to then tell him and Rovers he could go there on loan until the end of his contract anyway? I'll bet we'd have looked at every other club in existence to take him on instead, with every fan backing that all the way.

Difference is they apparently don't want Taylor now!!
They don't want him but want to say where he can go!
We still wanted Cooke!

But they only don't want him because he wants out, if this hadn't all kicked off he'd most likely still be in their team and staying.
Contracts have gotten far too much about being for the player's benefit only. If a club want rid of a player, they have to pay him off, but if a player wants out the club are expected to stand aside and let him go (wherever he wants and for free, whilst they have to search for a replacement and possibly incur more costs to do so). It would be a lot easier if both players and clubs stuck to signing contracts they were either willing to honour, or prepared to suffer the penalties within.
If Sneyd has a great year and gets tapped up by Wigan/Saints/Wire, can you see us being happy to let him go for nothing if he says he wants to go back to that end of the M62?
The only thing I don't understand from Wigan's POV is why Taylor? They've let several players leave relatively easily in recent years, but appear to be digging their heels in on this one. That gives me a suspicion that there's something gone on that they haven't liked.

How sure are we of this?
Is he that desperate to leave?
Just asking as i've not seen anything myself.
Agree about contracts though. Whole system is a farce really as is signing players mid season for the next.
