Quote: airliebird, runninglate! "What against two great big/strong/fast/smart/powerfull teams we should just fill our team with 17yr olds? Cos all our prospects are a yr below them selves in the 19s. Throwing them en block in for the whole team to go into the off season on the back of 2potential batterings isnt good player welfare managment, general managment, business sense or logical.'"

never said we should fill the team with U19's

Horne, Azza et al will not play next season, so play someone else, look to the future. (just my opinion)

There's maybe an argument for playing cunningham but radford hasn't played him since he returned from london so maybe he doesn't rate him. Dropping horne just because he's retiring after 16 seasons with us is disrespectful IMO

Stupid idea. Don't see the point in it at all because the kids that come in won't be playing next year either once Sneyd, Pryce, Mini and the other two are here.
Plus the 19's have a great chance of making their playoffs and going in to them with some form having won their last 4 games. Leave them to it.

How exactly? I think everyone knows it has been a disappointing season but there's absolutely no need to make it worse than it already is.

We should play our strongest team. Its been a bad enough season already; two crushing defeats to end it would only make it worse.

Strongest team possible obviously. If we can beat Leeds we'll finish with an impressive run at home. That started against Castleford in case anyone had forgotten.

Radford had already said he will give one or two of the under 19s a run in the last two games but after beating HKR may change his mind thinking beating Huddersfield and Leeds may appease fans and take some feel good factor into next season.

Let's not get carried away. We have won our last two home matches in impressive style but at any time prior to this season a home draw against Cas would have been regarded as a point dropped and we were a missed conversion away from losing this match.

This.
Rovers under 19's have qualified so I would rather they stick together and enjoy playoff rugby. This would be ultimately better then having them thrown to the lions.

we see this every season, some fans saying x player is buggering off to Y team so drop them and play a kid..it happened last year with Tom Briscoe and previously Turner & Manu. Funnily though not one said drop Sam Moa before going to the NRL.

If some think that playing in two games will give these youngsters and indeed the staff enough time to judge them then they are way off the mark. That they might end up getting their asses handed to them and have a complete mare because there is some pressure on them (otherwise why play them at that stage of the season) then you make a huge error in jusgment and put their confidence back massively!

I can assure you I'm not getting carried away at all. Unless of course posting simple fact is now classed as that. Oh - and if Craig Hall's drop goal misses and Crooks fronts up defensively at Cas we have another three points. Ifs and buts - just like your own.

Don't get me wrong Saints and Rovers were great wins and Cas at home should have been. We were the better side for 65 minutes but threw it away at the end and although we hung on for a draw it felt more like a defeat because we could and should have won.

I think you are being unfair and inaccurate attributing the Cas away defeat to Ben Crooks.

Totally agree with the comment about crooks, it wasn't his fault, on the backchat programme the tuesday after the game it was mentioned that if there was a video ref at the game the last cas try would have been ruled out for obstruction, another argument for having video refs at all games
