Apparently they where in it for 60 mins. Watched a different game to me then. Leeds never looked like they got it of 1st gear

| Having read this the bit I picked up on wasI've told the players that this week coming up is the biggest week of build up to a game we have had and I need to see that in our training.'"
The problem is Radders that you and the previous coaches have often praised the efforts in training. It means nothing without a performance to back it up. You need to find out why they don't take their efforts on the training ground onto the pitch on match day.

| The fact that a game against London requires 'the biggest week of build up to a game we have had' says much about our current situation.

Quite. Just how have we arrived here? Would've deemed to be incredible 16 months ago at the beginning of last season.

I would hope he would see how embarrassing that quote is and do the honorable thing.
To build up a London game now to be that important shows quite plainly how far this club is declining. The only other teams probably to put so much emphasis on this game will be Bradford Wakefield and probably Salford.
I know we have no devine right to be a big club but this takes this takes the p155.
I am one unhappy and disgruntled Hull fan right now and do not buy into this wait til his got his own team dross that some trot out. The damage will be unrepairable by then we need a new broom now and a reason for optimism next season or at this rate all the games against the bottom 4 will become important must win games.

| Radford was out with Nick Barmby for a meal / beers recently (think it was last week). My mate (big Hull fan) was sat nearby eavesdropping. Most of the conversation was about Hull. Radford said he was convinced he could turn the club around but was concerned he wasn't going be given much time.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 'by sacking a decent, experienced (but by no means perfect) coach, and replacing him with an utterly clueless one'. The first rule of sacking coaches (or getting rid of players, for that matter) should nearly always be 'don't do it unless there is someone better available'.
Pearson failed to observe that rule, and now we're seeing the consequences.

| Somebody stated that we are -7 points compared to last season.Radford apologists keep going on about waiting till he get his own team.If you look at Peter Gentles first season when he didnt have his own team either we are -10 pts in comparison.

We've got fewer points after fourteen rounds than any season since 2008 and the second fewest since the turn of the millennium.

I hope he's looking forward to entertaining the directors from Leigh,Halifax etc when the leagues split next season.

I'd go as far as to say he's listened to poor advice from the wrong people with vested interests, but I'll be accused of imagining a conspiracy theory again. As opposed to reaching a logical conclusion from the available but compelling evidence seen.
Wonder who or what persuaded Pearson that Radford was a better prospect than Gentle.

Sacking Gentle [imay[/i have been a mistake. Appointing Radford [idefinitely[/i was.
What will Pearson do now? He has a history of being trigger happy when it comes to coaches/managers. Will he get rid or will he feel he has to give Pearson more time.
Personally I think if we lose to London Radford must go.

Overall, last season wasn't great and for that gentle paid the price. At what point pearson thought it a good idea to give a young, inexperienced coach who has been part of the malaise that has been Hull FC for the last 8 years, including a stint as club captain, the job of sorting it out god only knows. I can only assume it included a couple of bottles of malt whisky though

It looked to have coup written all over it and then the guy who was mates with the players got the job on the back of it.
