SO what do your stats refer to? season or last night?
How many missed tackles?
Read my post, it was aimed as Westerman last night, he was garbage, so were another 15 players
Maybe you'll post (again) and try and blame it all on Horne eh?'"
Last night. Westerman had most tackles, most metres, most carries and most offloads. LAST NIGHT.
Interesting you should mention Horne, 5 missed tackles, got caught with ball in hand on last tackle, 3 errors and kicked poorly.
Our right side was simply terrible. Horne, Whiting, Crookes & Crooks missed 17 tackles between them.

| Westerman is the most important player we have. I thought he was a right princess in his first two seasons, but last year and this he's been the dog's bollox. Visible passion is a rare commodity too right now and he has it in spades. Give him the armband.

Watching the game I thought Crooks and Horne made some decent 1v1 tackles to prevent a break being made.
On the subject of Westy, he only missed tackles because he was running allover the pitch following the play and covering for everyone else's shiite attempts.

| He had a good dig last night but his effectiveness was similar to the rovers game. He plays close to the line and needs runners but got little or no support last night. More than once I saw hum get up to play the ball and look around wondering where the hell his support had been

Our play of the ball was a joke, the dummy half looked round to see a bunch of "players" grouped, doing nothing, no lines, no options. I dont know why they were wondering where the support was, there never is with one man rugby.

I sometimes watch them and think wtf have they been doing in training all week. I have only ever played the game to a modest level, and I have never coached, I don't profess to be an expert of rugby league by any means. But I can tell you that off the ball movement isn't rocket science, if the ball is near you, expect that you are going to get it. Pick a gap, run into it with your hands out, and convince a defender that you are going to get the ball, whether you are going to receive it or not. It doesn't all have to be about set plays and structured attack, just make an effort. Too many players just stand with their thumb up their when we are attacking.

The thing that got me most last night, was the apparent lack of effort. For all the defeats this season, I don't think you could question commitment, but last night to me looked lacklustre and half hearted. Some players don't deserve their paychecks this week

That said , We have had game's this season were we have done all of the above , So why does it fly out of the window only halfway through the season ? . Obviously the players aren't playing for Radford .

That's my worry. They are getting worse when they should be getting better. I don't think his constant tinkering with the side helps but then neither will public criticism of the players. Also begs the question of whether it is down to training. We've lost a number of games late on too which makes me wonder about our fitness levels

My perception is that it's not physical conditioning, it's inability to play the percentages and close teams down via management of field position. We don't have a single player who can drop a goal, drill in a 40-20, force teams back with accurate long kicking. We can be in the arm wrestle all day long but without that we're screwed.

Absolutely right , teams push up on the last tackle because they don't fear our kicking game and know our ptb will be slow and predictable. The intended kicker is often too flat and kicks are always hurried , Wigan charged at least one down. Then there's penalties , why do we give it to Horne and let him kick it 5 metres? May as well take a quick tap and run 10.

It was Miller kicking on pens
Wound me up though that later on when it didn't matter he was getting double/treble the distance. Why not all the time? Why waste 2and3 tackles you could of made with a good kick!
