I can't look past the forwards because they were so dominant, but with regards to Shaul, that is the first time I've watched him and thought, he's developing into a proper well rounded fullback. We know he's got attacking ability, but the rest of his game has taken great strides lately.

In no order: Shaul, Ellis and Carvell/Paea. Shaul had a really good all round game. Ellis lifted the team and led by example whilst Carvell and Paea were outstanding and I can't choose between the pair.

Special mentions: Houghton, Bowden, Rankin and Miller. Houghton was at his best last night and that try was a beautiful team effort. Bowden purely for that hit on Crabtree. Finally Rankin and Miller, passed the ball and kicked well at times which was lovely to see. We have the makings of a good half back pair there I think.

If Huddersfield's tactic was to target Shaul then that's poor coaching by Anderson, not only is he safe as houses under a high ball but he's one of the best broken field runners around. You would want to keep the ball away from him as much as possible. If they were basing it on last seasons game then that even more odd. From what I remember Shaul was one of our better players that night.

Was it Shaul that threw the cut-out ball to Talanoa for his try?
