Have to agree that was a real highlight. He built up a massive head of steam and then got laid out by Bowden(?)

Sorry I do agree with a lot you have to say, but I thought Liam Colbon produced a big stint tonight, yes he made a blob or two, but he got involved, ran the ball in hard and tackled his heart out. Nobody is perfect, but you can't beat up someone who gives 100% and he regularly gave our forwards a breather when they needed it.

You're entitled to your opinion but in mine he's one of the worst wingers in sl

Agreed, but tonight he was pretty alright IMO for his level of ability. Put it this way, who else is there, and I would rather have colborn than Crookes.

Hope Tala is fit for next week - hurt his leg late on.'"
Almost spot on my thoughts, Ellis was an absolute colossus for us tonight, a real captain's knock, and the starting props in particular really ripped into Hudds.
I lean a bit more to Jake's thinking on Colbon though, he was a weak player in the ranks. His 'attempt' for their try was pathetic, worse than either of the two Arundel was being pilloried for on here. We need another fit winger quick, I fancy Rovers to pick him out next week.

| Not many errors or soft penalties.
Solid defence, Good kick and chase, Quick play the ball, moved the ball about, plenty of good dummy runners.
Seems that Radford is finally addressing, what the fans have been shouting out about for quite a few seasons.

Judging by Radford's post-match comments, Hudds had identified Shaul as our weak link after the last game of last season. Backfired for them.

He also goes missing when the ball is kicked high anywhere near him

| Well either way, Colban is only in the team until Linehams fit.. Possibly maybe whiting to wing if sa comes in shortly, if he does.

Speaking of high kicks, did anyone else think that a couple of times when we kicked to the right corner Colbon and Whiting actually struggled to move up quick enough to challenge for the ball? Whilst it was ok tonight, that lack of pace on the right was evident and is a concern long-term. Reinforcements can't come soon enough.

| I think with Colbon we knew what we were getting. He's a cheap squad filler who has a lot of experience and can come in to fill a hole when Lineham or Tala pick up a knock. He doesn't have any pace, and will never be a game breaker, but he's steady and gets through plenty of graft.
On the subject of wingers we have to tie Tala down to a longer contract, he looks better every game, so strong in collision.
Carvell and Ellis stood out tonight, and Paea is a machine. It's laughable that Rovers tried to claim they had improved on him with the signings of Poore and Weyman.
It is really frustrating when you see us play like that because it just makes you think what the hell were we doing against Widnes and Salford. If we show that level of commitment every week then we will finish in the top 4, but I half fear that we will go in to our shells again and lose next week.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| the binman looked fine once he'd shaken his leg out and caught the very last kick and ran for the final tackle to kill it just fine
