| Quote: GM1 "When you're constantly watching and listening to the likes of Ben Iken, Sterlo, Matty and Andrew Johns, Gasniar, Scotty Prince and Gordie Tallis, then switch over to EuroSport to listen to muppets Eddie, Stevo and Clarkie I'm speechless. These 3 are useless. Sky need to breath some young life into SL coverage as it's just boring'"
I'm sorry, but those names you mention aren't that good. Prince and Gasnier's delivery are poor, not much of a fan of Tallis or the Johns brothers either and Fittler's a prized pr!ck.
People got their socks out over Vossy in the world cup, but if he was here permanently, after a few years we'd feel the same about him as we do Eddie & Steveo.
Disclaimer: In no way am I saying Eddie & Steveo are any good, they aren't. You're right that they're terrible and we do need some fresh faces.

| Clarke very rarely gives us credit. Always goes on about Wigans youngsters what about ours?
When Wigan are on he never stops praising them.

| Clarke did also say if we played like this on a consistently level then we would be a Top 4 side.
But everyone knows we are far too inconsistentent.
SL needs a strong Hull FC side.

| It all depends on which side of the fence you are sat to what you hear. I watched the game last night and thought the commentators where underplaying how badly Huddersfield were playing and overhyped Hulls performance. Stevo kept harping on about how this was a top four performance from a sleeping giant and it wasn’t til the end of the game they even mentioned the short turn around.
I’m no sky apologist but they really can’t win, a fan will have his own agenda and the presenters will seldom meet their expectations.
An honest appraisal of the game would have been Hull played really well, Hudds looked out on their feet and were gash.

Very good point.

Well we'll listen very closely next Thursday, because we'll do doubt both think they're favouring the opposition. Good luck tonight.

Having played sport to a fairly high standard I know from personal experience that after a loss and a controversial one at that the worst thing in the world is a long lay off between fixtures. Huddersfield players should of been glad of the opportunity to right the wrongs of the previous week so quickly and should of been totally fired up.
I agree that Huddersfield were poor last night but to me the reasons for their loss and scratchy form is a mental one rather than physical.

To be fair to Radford and the 17 last night in particular Paea, Carvell & Ellis I don't think it was so much of a case of Huddersfield being poor in general more a case of a Hull team that came out the blocks aggressively from the start and never let up. Huddersfield just got battered and dominated and were not allowed to settle into the game.
If we can replicate last nights efforts and performance on a consistent basis we will be up there, but consistency is the key they now have to back up last night with another against Rovers and again against London.

Don't get me wrong I thought we played well but some of the errors Huddersfield made were not forced but just poor in effort and application. Throughout the game I thought Huddersfield would be more happy to have a fight than roll their sleeves up and do a stint.
Maybe i'll change my mind when I watch it back but I thought we were slightly better last week with ball in hand.

I think you did well and dominated up front but Hudds were their own worst enemy in gifting the first 3 tries so early. Grix's poor carry, the shocker of a pass and head explosion trying to keep it in for the 2nd and Grix's ridiculous 'fight' with Ellis basically had the game over in the first 20 mins. I agree mentally Huddersfield look very weak. The opportunity to right wrongs quickly is all well and good but if it goes awry so early it can have the opposite effect.
Danny Brough as captain will their downfall, as good a HB as he is his mental attitude doesn't lend itself to leading by example and gives far too much opportunity for him to moan a lot.

| watched it back today and was really interested in what they had to say about the ellis/grix incident.could'nt believe how stevo blamed ellis and no one mentioned that grix had to walk for at least 10mins.how the ref can decide that brough and whiting had to go for their scrap yet witha clear view of a man swinging 3/4 punches with non coming back the result is just a penalty.was hoping this would of got mentioned after the brough incident as it made the first decision even more laughable.never felt so fed up of the game as i do at moment.the constant poor reffing and disaplinary panel is killing game.back on topic eddie and stevo have to go.the magic weekend games when baz n tez are commentating are far more enjoyable.olso stevo claiming rankins try was a double movement despite seeing numerous replays showed what a complete he is

Bet he wouldn't have moaned if Wigan would have been playing Hudds and not Hull!
