| Absolutely have to win this one if we have ambitions of been up at the top. The league is wide open this year and despite 2 wins from 5 I still think 4th is up for grabs, but we can't afford any slip ups between now and the London game.

Don't get why we played mind games with carvel. Originally said he could be back week after. Now looking it'll be a month. That's an age with modern recovery techniques and equipment!
Lucky for us I'd say widnes pack isn't particularly big so pitts and Thomson could be effective still.

Not sure if mind games. Carvs was desperate to play against Wire and Radders gave him a chance to prove his fitness and his ankle had a bad reaction. In retrospect it appears we tried to bring him back too early and are now paying the price

Fair enough. Although that too sounds a bit stupid. A 120kilo guy rolls his ankle to any degree he unless a young whipper snapper doesn't get over it in 7days! Bit annoying because without exaggeration I fully think 1more big guy would have probably got us a win at Castleford

| Frankly if we can't beat Widnes at home we may as well give up. We should be beating teams like Widnes home and away if we want to make any impact in the competition.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Leeds, Wigan and Saints wouldn't be making excuses like that. All teams get injuries. We should have the strength in depth to cope with them, especially if Widnes are missing two key players in Mellor and Tickle.

Saints will have missing this week, Turner Percival Walsh Walmsley Soliola LMS and Beaumont, so it's a pretty even comparison - all teams get injuries, it's how you deal with them that defines how good you are

I asked about him yesterday. Suppose to of had his shoulder cleaned out?? Wouldn't mind throwing in Hadley though. Thought he showed some promise games seen him play.

| Shame BTW is injured or he could/should have got a game against Widnes.
As for props worst game scenario, I'd go with
Watts
Thompson
Pitts
Tuson
Rankin
Colborn
Arundel
Yeaman
Talonoa
Horne
Miller
Watts
Houghton
Thompson
Ellis
Whiting
Westerman
Tuson
Pitts
Hadley
Heremia

Hadleys a big player.. Would you think of Thompson as a prop?? Sometimes you just got to use what you've got.
