| Quote: Dave K. "As above, Bobby is the prop, Harry the stand off, him and his cousin Ryan Wilson look very good.
A lot of talent coming through, especially in the forwards, also good to have two exciting halfbacks on the books, as we haven't produced any halfbacks since Cooke/Horne.
Winger still seems a problem, who was the last top winger than we brought through our academy that came from Hull?'"
I think that Hull are expecting 2014 to be Ryan Wilsons breakthrough year. They have had him down at Bishop Burton doing 10 hour days and feeding him 3 times a day to try and pack some weight on ready for a go at Super League. He is a good player.

He said last top winger. Lyne was/is awful!

I expect him and BTW to get a few games this year, that's why I don't think we need to sign another prop.

| The Hull area has always been somewhere that has a lot of budding talent, the problem seems to be getting them from being very good youngsters and turning them into seasoned pros. The list of players who could have / should have been is a long as your arm. Don't know whether its over hyping of them as youngsters or keeping them focused but there certainly seems to have been a problem somewhere.

| Wow.....................I dis pare at this constant talk about the Leeds & Wigan model that we are supposed to be aspiring to. In reality the Leeds & Wigan models are built on their ability to mine sweep the best talent in Yorkshire & Lancashire.
Leeds for example are underpinned by the Yorkshire League which has around four divisions of 10 to 12 teams, with usually two teams from Hull being represented in division 1. By location they can also compete for the best boys in Lancashire. Wigan have the same scenario in reverse plus the junior Cumbria teams.
Consequently their junior sides are full of the best boys from around Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria AND HULL.
By contrast in Hull by the age of 13 to 14 onwards we only have around SIX teams playing the game, thats around 120 boys at each age group to serve two SL clubs.
The key to all of this, not just in Hull but nationally is to get more boys playing the game. Unfortunately at the junior amateur level the game is close to being on its knees and unless both Hull & Hull KR do something to get more boys playing the game neither will create a sustainable supply of talent.

No, it is down to natural talent, hard work, supportive parents and good coaching.
Well done to the lads. A great achievement for themselves, their junior clubs and Hulls scholarship programme.

| Turgut, Brad Fash and Jack Downs joining the 1st team squad at St George's tomorrow. Seem to have a lot of back rowers coming through.

| How is Jordan Abdul rated these days ?
Pretty sure a few SL clubs were after him but interesting to see he missed out on making the Academy squad.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Think he means England squad, I saw he a few times last year and IMO has the skills to make a SL player, fitness is his problem as he looked overweight last year, if he doesn't improve this I can see BTW taking his place in the 19's next season.

I think I can finally see the development plan at the club. Dr. Pearson and Leegor are going to use experimental surgical techniques to combine our surplus back rowers into a much larger front rower: The Human Centiprop.
