| I've seen nothing from him in attack and his defense is appalling,he may get better, but will need to improve vastly from where he is now.
Time will tell, but I think we've bought another dud.
P.S. If he was any good, would an NRL side let a 20 year old scrum half come to England.

He's supposed to be getting protected in defence by Ellis and Yeaman and in attack by Holdsworth.
Some of our senior players have been woeful.

But he can't tackle apparently.

| If our players ran lines it would give Miller someone to pass to. Miler attacks the line and is by far our best passer of a ball.
Horne & Miller need to be our halves next year.

| I feel sorry for Miller, being thrown into that shower.
He's the only one with any sort of spark, and he's been let down by the senior pros big time. Same as Wests really, poor kid!.

Miller is often labelled a headless chicken, which at times might be true, but when you watch properly you can see that it's often very similar for Heremaia. They take the line on, look round, and usually find themselves alone. It's not always their fault, they're doing their bit.

| With a fully fit linham, crooks, arundel(in for yeamo) and a new winger(biggs!) our 3/4 dont look too bad. Even our halves can do a decent job i think IF our forwards can get on top of other teams. This is where our recruitment looks sadly lacking for next season! I'm guessing Gentles plan is whiting at 13, ellis and westy in 2nd row. Tompson takes whitings bench role as 2nd row interchange/utility man, pea and feka as impact props with azza rotating for houghton off the bench. Watts and AN Other as starting props (seems like maybe Walker). simply dont think this this is any way strong enough pack!
Also, where would this leave the likes of green, bowden, johnson, pitts, as well as yongsters like tyson-wilson? In my opinion far too many 'squad' players and a distinct lack of real quality up front. until we get a bigger, better, more agreesive pack, the ongoing debate about our halves is almost irrelevant.

It's why Houghton hardly ever gets any tries, Lunt tonight was superb in this respect.

| we are too predictable in attack and easy to defend against. When they attacked, they were deep and spread wide across the pitch, we were in a straight line, 5 yards behind the ball, bunched together.
Less said about the'drop off' the better.

| Miller may or may not ultimately be good enough at this level but to judge that now would be wrong. He has a massive learning curve and is miles from the required finished article but anyone expecting anything different from a reserve grade junior at this stage needs to realign their expectations. My disappointment is not with Miller but with Hull FC's failure to sign Rangi Chase who if nothing else would have provided something entirely different and sold some season passes. I think it's a straight failure of our administrators that we couldn't get him despite a very public attempt whereas Salford could snap him up without issue. To me that's as embarrassing as last night's performance.

In fairness to our administrators, the visa requirements changed between our attempt and Salford's. Chase's personal circumstances may also have been different - sometimes small details make a big difference. Where I [iam[/i disappointed with them is in not keeping a weather eye on Chase and spotting the opportunity that Salford successfully exploited.

The problem when we tried to sign Chase was he wouldn't apply for a new visa (not in really sure why he wouldn't) and the legal dispute between two agents about who exactly represented him.

There were obviously problems but nevertheless we failed to land him and subsequently failed to act again when it was clearly possible to close the deal. When you extend that out to our general recruitment strategy then there's failure off the field as well as on it in the big picture.
