they have a much bigger problem filling the ground than us...but at least they are trying. £20 a ticket with no other offers or incentives just smacks of the club expecting the fans to turn out regardless. £20's a lot to pay to watch a side that can't even pass and catch the ball properly

I agree, twenty quid is steep when past history shows play off crowds are poorly attended, although I will be going, many wont, especially after the poor peformances

I do agree with the attendance being low but I don't think we are being ripped off, all other games this year apart from the cup are priced between £19-£23 so it's about right, like others have said if people don't want to pay it they won't, nobody if being forced to pay. Just because others are putting their prices down does not mean we have or be expected to.

| We've had people on here moaning about the special offers that the club make and now we've got people on here moaning about them charging a proper price.
You couldn't make it up. I'll be there and I expect lots more will be.
If you don't like it, stay at home.

| I doubt there would be much difference in the attendance if it had been a tenner for adults rather than £20.
Play off attendances have been dire across the board for a few seasons.

It is cheaper if you go in the East and West stands because usually it is £23 and £24 but if you go in South stand like me you pay £1 more because it is usually £19.

| I always thought the prices were to do with the proportion that went to SMC so saints can keep £15 while we charge a bit more to keep the same money

The RFL dictate how proceeds from the play off series are shared.

If this is true (and I'm sure it is), why the variance in gate price at the 4 games next weekend? If there is a gate "pool", your fans have contributed double what a Hudds or Wigan fan will put in.
Is it anything to do with the SMC arrangement? (not trolling, serious question).

It will be down to this. Would imagine the Rfl will dictate each host club donates an equal amount per ticket sold to the play-off 'pot'. Not sure what our user agreement covers for play-off games but I would imagine the Allams - aka the SMC - would command as near to the going rate as they can for the stadium hire, hence the relatively large price compared to clubs who either own their stadium or have, like Hudds, a working relationship direct with the council who co-own the John Smiths stadium with Davy, I believe.
