| Didn't we beat Salford at home with a last minute drop goal? Probably about 5 seasons ago though

Salford at home in 2006. Richard Horne kicked it.
The last time we kicked a drop goal was Tickle's winner against Saints in 2010. Before that it was two from Adam Dykes both in 2008 - ironically both in games we lost - against Rovers in Cardiff and Saints away. In 2007 Horne kicked two and Mat Head one.
To sum up, we've kicked one drop goal in five years.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| I can be remember Steve Norton dropping a goal at Widnes in the "good old days".
I was stood next to Eric Ashton, and I won't repeat what he said.
It's good to see us being described as the worst ever drop goal team - some on here
have us down as the worst at everything else as well.

| Tickle only kicked that one against Saints because Long had just had two attempts and missed both of them.
That was a great game, mind. Were we not like 20-0 down at half time, and then Saints got the first try after half time too?
Edit: Just watched it back on youtube. 22-6 down at ht, then went to 26-6 down, then came the comeback.

No, he meant Graham Mackay who kicked one from near the centre spot just on half time in the last game at The Boulevard.

Just see it as a bonus that we actually complete a set.

We said the same, Miller was set to drop one on 4th in the set before he made an attempt. Was a poor attempt, as well!

| We might be cack in this century but back in the 70s to mid 80s we had plenty to choose from...
Bob Gaitley..now he could drop goals..got 9 for us in 15 (+5sub) appearances, did loads for Hunslet too. Tony Dean was pretty decent, Crooksy (Snr.), Knocker as mentioned, Mick Crane, Divorty & Brian Hancock/Chris Davidson back in the 70s
Garry Pearce is the top Hull FC DG kicker, (equal record of 14 in a season 88/89) we could do with someone like him, he'd get us half a doz 40/20s a game I reckon
