I agree, it simply can't help to create a healthy dressing room.

| Quote: Rock God X "I'd say Gentle is doing very well at some things, but not so well at others. I think he's done exceptionally well with bringing through the young players after years of stagnation in this area. His signings have been a bit of a mixed bag. Few would argue that the captures of the likes of Ellis and Holdsworth have been positive, but the likes of Galea, Crookes and Arundel have yet to prove their worth (though the latter two still might). Where he really seems to struggle is with getting the players performing consistently well as a group over a period of more than a couple of weeks. This needs addressing before it overshadows his other achievements.'"
Spot on. We have shown this season what we can do, now we need to do it consistently.

| The facts dont make very good reading. Before last nights result Gentle win record was 52% so probably below 50 now. We have the occasional full quality performance (Leeds & Warrington this season) but the rest are average to crap and with a supposedly better team on paper we are now two points behind Rovers who theyre own fans will say have a weaker squad and that two points could of been six if wed of rightly lost the magic weekend fixture.
I think all the eggs are being put in one basket with the CC which is utterly wrong as i dont think we'll have a chance against Catalan then its season over and if it pans out like that then bye bye Gentle for me then Adam should go out and get a proven quality head coach not another untried assistant

| We need to finish with 6 wins from 7 to achieve last years points total. Further in cup but a favourable draw which won't be much further or mean much unless we win cats game. So could end up very much the same. Try selling that to the financially struggling masses Mr Pearson.

Any suggestions on this conveyor belt of top quality coaches with suitcases packed desperate to get to 'Ull?

I'll be honest.
I wish we had your attacking structure Phil.
Miles in front of us in the go forward stakes.

Pretty much this.
Mixed bag so far for me. I like the guy and he talks a lot of sense. I also like many of the things he's done with the squad and the way he is [itrying[/i to get us play. However...
Some of his selections puzzle/concern me. Galea is the obvious one but there are others. And his rotations often seem less than optimal. Whether this is contributing to the attitude issue I don't know - I tend to believe that 90% of attitude has to come from the players and a coach can only point them in the right direction.
I wondering if we maybe still have a little hangover from the last several years. Changing an ingrained culture can be really difficult.

They have a bigger pack and arguably a better HB pairing. Certainly a more settled one.
The tone of our season was really set when we failed to get the props we needed. We have zero platform in most games and no muscle to fall back on when things get tough.
Doesn't help when the forwards we do have are so far out of sorts, either.

| How many of his signings have been a success, galea, mcdonnell, crookes, arundel, ellis, holdsworth, watts, for me the best and most consistent players have been houghton.o'meley, crooks and lineham!
Was it the correct decision to strip lynch of the captaincy, iam sure he would have loved that !

Is it simply an age thing?
Our forwards are all under 30 and seem to be able to just keep going
Do you think having players like Galea, O'Meley, Ellis, Lynch actually hampers you?

Yup.
Not great when Ogre has been our best go forward option and even he knows his body is packing up and he's nearly shot.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Not when you have Watts, Houghton and Westerman.

It's about size, not age. We have plenty of younger forwards but no big ones.
