| It looks like he has had his head turned, probably by Koukash's (sp) big money. Is he the first of a number of high profile players to be "tapped up" by Salford?

| Why would you ask for a transfer to go to a top four club and then sign for Salford?????

Maybe he want people to believe that it's a "career move" when it's actually a financial one.

| Well the only thing that is certain here is that someone has tapped him up!
Salford would be the prime candidates it smacks of the almost arrogant posturing that we have seen from Koukash of late but the top four quote sort of scuppers them.
All I know is that we really went after him last closed season when the future of Bradford was bleak and before his mates played the loyalty card he really wanted to come. So obviously even if we don't our boss rates him.
Bradford have suspended him so it looks like they expect a quick resolution of it, he's no good to them long term on the side lines.
After that however I have no idea, We certainly don't have enough cap left having brought in Miller and paid Seymour off out of this years allocation, unless the fact that we didn't get Prince or Chase means we have been operating under cap anyway.
However if its down to conspiracy theories (whiffs) what if the rumour that Rovers have been talking to Washbrook is right, he moves, then the Westerman Rumour is right and he moves or Tickle goes early to Widnes....Bingo!!!!! But thats just fantasy Island stuff! Personally I'd however keep Westerman myself!
However I would fancy Elliott will go to Wigan, Huddersfield or Warrington he's a great attacking player who lacks application in defence which perhaps points to an attitude problem which is the sort of issue Gentles good at, I can't see him coming here but who knows!

I definitely wouldn't. Whitehead is a good player but not as good as westerman yet anyway.

no way! westy is playing really well and only about 23 years of age. (or thereabouts) Love to have EW at the KC but straight swap for westerman? not a chance. Westy got year left and I'd tie him down longer. EW with a few years with Ellis will learn a lot.

What's the Westerman rumour Wilf? I was under the impression that he's settled and playing his best rugby so far.

That's a Bradford fan. I can definitely see why he'd be in favour of the swap.

| We might be interested as we nearly signed him last year.
He has plenty of work to do as he is top of miss tackles, 2nd in penalties and 9th for mistakes, but is very good in attack, if Gentle thinks he can improve enough then might be worth it.

| We won't go in for him, be a massive kick in the face to the likes of Pitts and Whiting if we signed him. With the way he's turned his back on Bradford doubt he's the type of person we would want here anyway.
That said think he's being living off a golden 6 month period, hardly set the league on fire this term.

Agree with the last bit, I think there are too many problems with his game at 23 for him to ever reach the level he looked like he could.

| Looking at the squad we have and the way they are now playing I dont think we need him. Plus as others have said he had a purple patch but has since been distinctly average at best.
I think we would do better using cap space elsewhere in the squad.
