Lineham (although defensive positional play has to improve)
McDonnell not near my top 3 as shaky when collecting loose balls with defenders approaching and does not run the ball back with any real speed or purpose as demonstrated by Tomkins.
Crooks is doing well and improving each week though.'"
Not shaky what's so ever. Safe. Weather was dire. Running the ball back comes in different shapes n sizes n when n where you take the ball n what's in front.
Heard some fools near me last night complaining about running the ball back. His style is look for a slight gap n late foot work. Also when he took the ball the Wigan defence was up as 1 n none of ours back on a few occasions. So say he piles the ball in to make it look good, he then gets smashed by brick wall defence dominated and the next man's on a hiding to nothing, instead he tried finding a gap, bought a couple of seconds for the team to get back n centralised the play. Made two breaks from nothing last night! Been in best 3 players of most games this season.

Speacial mentions:
Shaul seems to have kickstarted our season
Green showing the most promise out of those in the pack
Also looking forward to whether Kent can make his way back into the team. He looked like the player suited most to play Super League when the bunch of youngsters first all had their debuts last year.
People still show a certain amount of bias towards Horne because he's a local lad exaggerating the positive things he does in a game. He still needs to do more to claim a genuine place in the team as a halfback if wants to be anything other than a useful utility playmaker.

In what way are people showing bias?!!?!? He's carried us singlehandedly thus far. Only last few weeks started getting some support. His stats quite clearly back this up as one of the best halves in the league statistically.
Shaul has done well but kick started our season? Scored some tries in a 60 odd point victory over semi professionals had a good game Easter Monday and has replaced McDonnall who was already 1of our best. Can't buy that, wakey we played smart and were efficient and built on it since even in defeat last night, but right across the team, don't think that can be attributed to 1man.

Exactly because of what you've just said. He creates 1 or 2 tries for a stretch of 4 or 5 games, and everyone suddenly claims he's "carried us singlehandedly" for the entirety of the year.
I understand that Horne has been brilliant at times over the years, but I'd go as far to argue that Seymour put in the same stretch of comparable performances at the beginning of last year (including Magic Weekend and a few others), yet he didn't get the plaudits that Horne currently is. I put this down the assumption that the majority of Hull fans would prefer Horne to succeed more so than any other halfback, because of his loyalty to the club. This is nothing but blind favouritism.

It's obvious to see that the Wakefield game has kick-started a run of form, but I'd have to say the biggest contribution to that win was Heremaia's influence as halfback, (as he created most of the try scoring opportunities down the left-hand-side with Lineham and Crooks - Horne's contribution being a deflected grubber kick) and not only Shaul's try while we were looking quite shaky, but also the performance and enthusiasm he showed that lifted others in the team.

Is this the Richard horne who is joint top in try assists in SL alongside the much vaunted danny brough and ahead of the likes of Michael Dobson, blake green, rangi chase and tim smith?
He's been a colossus for us for most of the season and we'd have been in the bottom 4 without him

Sorry mate but RUBBISH.
The game transformed last night as soon as Horney started taking Wigan on at the line on the right. He's done it all year even behind beaten packs. Easily our most influential player this year.

Sorry but TRIPE, utter BILGE. Horne is at almost top of try assist stats in what's been a poor poor team at times so it's a hell of a stretch at this rate.!!!!!!!
Wakefield he was probably still m o m along with Aaron (tremendous n smart kicking game)& after being by one of the biggest margins ever hulls best player on the good Friday game(by the admission by all my rovers pals)

Lineham
Cant believe that there's only one person who has picked Danny Houghton, He is leading the way in the Top Tackles, Marker Tackles, Carries and Runs from Dummy Half stats. He has had a great season so far.
Horney and Holdsworth could be a lethal partnership once Holdsworth comes back. Tommy Lineham has to be a contender for super leagues young player of the year award.
