| Absolutely no shame. Ifs and buts, but would love to see their first try again, mile forward and don't think it was grounded correctly. Also the charnley try in the corner. Video ref might have seen things differently. .. or not. Wigan definitely had the rub of the decisions. Great game and great support.

I'm convinced the first effort was short.

| Poles apart from the Rovers game. I came away from that proud of the team, the effort and the attitude. Running to kick off after Wigan scored, getting the clock stopped at the scrums, some crunching defence and finally some exciting attack.
Same again next week please lads

You have to get up early to beat the Airlie Birds!: |
|
| Charnley wasn't in touch for his try, definitely got it down ok. For me Briscoe perhaps could have done better to try and stop him getting the ball down

Definitely got it down over the line. Right in front of me.
Don't want to get into it about the ref. think he let the game flow really well. Gave very few penalties which I was pretty happy with.
Wigan's second try was outstanding.

Was very reminiscent of the ones they ran in in quick succession against Rovers. I feared the worst tbh

| 1st possibly forward.
Charnley try not a try. I jumped n cheered the tackle bit flabbergasted it was given, n just as I was about to doubt myself saw Briscoes reaction!
Also in a game of few penalties we start scoring and breaking at will in a purple patch then suddenly start conceding pens constantly. Man stands ball falls in range of posts at 20.24 penalty. mins later same another. Not much longer same but in Wigan half it just a drop ball?!
Thought we got little. Can't work out if ref rubbish or Wigan stretch rules to perfection. Turning the man around on floor, lot of grapple around head area to do so. Moving off the mark was ludicrous.
Think over all we were the better team, ref hurt us n Wigan are clinical.
Tonight was great, best value of the year. Me pass had been looking expensive. Season can really kick on from this. Only Leeds n wire would of possibly beaten us tonight n we'd have positively belted a few teams.
Ellis n holdsworth added to that along with Aaron n Danny working in tandem and keeping it sharp at 9 looks pretty tasty.
Normally flat on a Friday night when been beat but I'm ok tonight.

| first wigan try appears forward on highlights. tomkins is onside. theres an obstruction for your first try, but im not sure it would have been given seeing as blake green had an opportunity to complete the tackle afterwards. cant really tell for the charnley try.

You have only been developing your own after yrs of buying Aussies but dont forget, when Pearson took over the youth set up was basically poop under the other mob that run us and it will take us a couple of more yrs to develope the players we really need...since Gentle came we have blooded,Shaul,Lineham,Crooks,Nicklas(now gone).Bowden,Cunnigham,Hadley,Kent,Green,J.Briscoe so dont think we are doing so bad.'"
We always developed our own, we just didn't keep them although the reasons for losing youngsters then was all our own doing.
Ian Lenagan is the main reason we're now run correctly.

| Great game two teams with passion and pride really enjoyed it. Wigan remind me off Saints a couple of years a go where they can score back to back trys like last night. Don't want to blame the ref I thought Charnley was in touch but the two lads in front of me said not so benefit of the doubt. Great to see the standing ovation plus the two Wigan players clapping the east stand too.

| Sign of a good game is when fans of both sides stand and applaud which is what happened last night. Game had great intensity and atmosphere was fantastic.

| You couldn't really ask for more considering the team that took the field . Like many have said ,That game should now be a bench mark for the rest of the season .

10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

I agree that he eventually grounded it over the line, but felt certain that he was initially just short. Not seen a replay yet, but I was convinced last night that it was a double movement.
