Wish I could get to the game, as there are 2 former pupils in the squad, drew ward and Jordan Abdul, Abdul has bags of talent and we did well to poach him from rovers, drew has worked so hard to make it as a professional.

Also heard that gentle is very impressed with Turgut and expects big things of him.

Bit cheesed off that Crookes is looking likely V Leeds...dont know why we signed him and he has sounded very bloody dodgey so far and,tbh,he wasnt that much cop at Bradford.

Out of the two I am more optimistic that Lineham will become a top winger so I would like to see him in the side over Crookes myself. However it could prove to be a shrewd move leaving him out, he's had a sniff of SL and missing out the squad will only make him hungrier and put more pressure on Crookes to perform. I like the fact in less then two seasons Gentle is already producing a squad with competition, something we have not had for a long while.

Agreed. I don't think Gentle has bought Galea to sit on the bench. He's a starter for me. Ellis, Galea and Westerman I think will be the back-row three. Tickle front-rowing?

Why are people s including tickle? He said on Sunday to my pal after the game that he's 4 weeks off. So probably be round 3at best.

Same for me but think Houghton will start. Johnson will play. If Tickle not fit Whiting to come in.

Everybody at the club is impressed with him and deservedly so is everything you want in a back rower.

Zach Brahman has everything to go and play at Super League level him and Wilson will go very well in the front row for the 19's this season.

Tom Stark is a winger who played for Skirlaugh in the same age group as Turget.

What I saw of Crookes last week he ran the ball well and finished off his try, and by all accounts did quite well the week before. Gentle liked the look of him from the off last season, he's young, strong and quick. It would have been foolish to go into the season with just Lineham and Briscoe.
