| Quote: Wellsy13 "That's a shame. I think a ground right in the heart of the student area would see a boost in crowds and match day experience (all the bars in walking distance).
Leeds seem to manage with a stadium with not much parking or access.'"
The type of ground would improve match day experience. Atmosphere has never been great to be honest at the KC. A newer version of boulevard would be great, part standing part seating. Standing sections improve match day atmosphere IMO. A stadium in that location wouldn't boost crowds as much as you think. Our location now is great. Right inbetween anlaby road and prinny ave bars! Prinny ave is packed on matchdays anyways never mind including people that go down anlaby road! Not only is the KC in between plenty of pubs it's surrounded by housing so a boost in crowds may be unlikely. A boost in crowds would come from cheaper prices and we are in a predicament where we can't afford to lower prices due to rental charges at the KC. A community stadium or an owned stadium would be ideal. Part standing stadiums reduce costs and technically can have a smaller less costly venue and still have attendances up to 20,000.!

| Pearson Park! Love to see them try to get that past the Avenues and Pearson Park Residents Association. They're rottweilers! Having said that, one bloke down the Avenues has a train line in his garden which was once a full-sized football pitch, and the old Hull tennis club used to be down Westbourne, so the sports theme is fitting. It's a Conservation area, though, so you'd have a job.
What about YPI or the Rugby Union club on Chants? Not many pubs, though. Or why not back to the Boulevard site? Has the school idea been shelved yet?

I know the residents around the old Boulevard site have concerns over the extra traffic the new school is going to add to the area, So you'd have the same problem as the avenues.

Only a Hull KR fan could consider this "detail".

| I think you guys will be sat in a 35000 capacity stadium sooner rather than later...obviously i think that will depend on city getting promoted but at the moment you wouldnt bet against them. Council cuts biting harder may make Mr Allams millions a little more attractive...interesting times ahead.

| Quote: Wellsy13 "Say Allam does manage to get his hands on the stadium, and we did have to move. Say the council help us build a new community stadium. Where would you like this to be? And how big? Standing or seating?
No idea where they'd be able to squeeze it in, but would love to see Hull playing in the Cott Road/Bev Road/Newland Ave/Princes Ave area so they're near all the bars! Could have a Headingley-like feel to it then! Similar style to HJ, but with all the corners filled in to make it 18k.'"
Hope above hope that this idea never comes off..... As a resident of the area that you mention in this idea... you have no chance..
1...no land big enough to accommodate a stadium
2... Parking and travel to and from the stadium in the area would be impossible... this area is already bad enough for congestion and does not need more..
3... i doubt it would get past the public consultation as too many would object.....
In all honesty i would build a stadium in the St Andrews quay area and would make a far more viable location, plenty of land for stadium and parking, 2 mins from hessle road for the pubs etc... and would prob help to generate more custom to the area...

Where on St Andrew's Quay? And if it was there, it would stop a lot of walk up crowd as there aren't many houses in the area (it's an industrial area). Plus it's be as windy as hell!
Like I say, Headingley seems to cope with the traffic on match days and they get even bigger crowds. The traffic isn't bad at night in the Prinny Ave/Newland Ave area so should be fine for night games.
