| I reckon he will play six next year with Holdsworth as the main organizer.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "Without sounding disrespectful to Richard Horne, our halves are better for next year mainly because he isn't in them. As he proved against Leeds, Seymour certainly has the ability and I'm hoping his dismal consistency last term was down to 'settling in' (although Pearsons comments won't have helped).
New season, new slate.'"
Fickle!

| The main thing that goes against Seymour is that he really doesn't look bothered or that he is even trying most of the time which is what everybody seems to pick up on. If he at least looked like he was having a dig I doubt he would get the amount of criticism he does.

Respect your opinion, but this one suprises me. My impression was that Seymour has had very little barracking from fans because people perceive that he [iis[/i trying. The criticism has not been at all personal but more analysis of his basic playing ability as a half-back e.g. he is not leading/dominating, he is slow, his kicking is awful etc.
Similarly there seem to have been no murmerings from the club, despite his chequered history, that his attitude and commitment with us haven't been good. The murmerings seem to be much more about him struggling to do the job we need.
My perception FWIW is that he is an Australian who, despite his limitations, is trying do well for Hull.

Agree. He appeared simply not good enough certainly to fulfil the role required. With Holdsworth alongside and perhaps now free of his injury issues his confidence may improve which would in turn see his game get back to where he would want it. He looked frustrated last year because what he was trying wasn't coming off and as his confidence went so too did the rest of his game , his defence started out pretty sound but faded as the season went on. He could be like a new player for us and have an impact. If he doesn't I think it'll be because he's not good enough not because he doesn't care.

We all have to grow old but we don't have to grow up: |
|
| To be fair, he could have said 'I'm injured boss and can't play' could he not? He didn't and had a go, playing with an injury and injections to keep going. That to me doesn't sound like a player who's not bothered. I think what the fans should do is get behind the guy and give him some encouragment, that's what he needs. We all may get a very pleasing suprise injury free, remember all the comments about McGoldrick when he came and he really put a shift in

| Started off fairly well and got more average as the season went on, to the point where I didn't actually see what impact he was having in matches. However, I have hope he can improve with a better half and some experience/familiarity with the team.
New season and new start, for every player. Hope other fans think the same, but I can see the smallest error being well over reacted to, at every opportunity.

| New season's about to start and people are already slagging off Seymour.
As posts have previously said, he played majority of last season injured and often like always struggled to defend of the right hand side because turner kept coming out the line..
So tbh, just let him play next season and see what happens
