I don't think the Welsh lads who belted out the national anthem last and defended like their lives depended on it last week thought the game was pointless. Surely as a rugby league fan the chance to watch lads from your own town play for our country right here in Hull is too good to turn down.
In that roundball game the other week they filled Wembley for a 'pointless clash' against a country nobody has heard of, this will be by far a better spectacle to watch at a very affordable price. Get behind your country as the countdown to the world cup begins and stop moaning!

I never said the players were not passionate but at the end of the day I could go and watch an amateur game that will be a competitive game for free. International rugby has gone down the pan since they scrapped GB and started letting players from other countries play for different teams.
As for getting behind my country, I don't have a patriotic bone in my body and will be cheering on the Kiwis when the World Cup comes around.

What a shame. 2013 is a fantastic opportunity to sell the greatest game of all to the nation, however it is going to be a struggle when so many fans seem to get some kind of enjoyment out of putting the game down.

What as, a cry baby.
I'm looking forwards to the game cricket score or not. It's nice to have some RL to look forward to in the closed season.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Either way he'd have been in one of the squads and his suspension is counting for one of them.

| BBC Sport website shows 'G Ellis (West Tigers)' in starting line up. I'll never believe the Rumours thread again, was convinced we'd signed him.

Doesn't that kind of make every international pointless in your eyes?
Only asking...

Not really as I watch most games on Sky when we are not playing and as long as they are a contest I watch till the end and enjoy. This series there really are not any contests, France beat Wales easily enough, and England will do the same to France & Wales.
Last year we were playing Austrailia & NZ whilst the England knights beat the French 1st team comfortably. This year the RFL are trying to big up a foregone conclusion.
The only point of this series I can see is so Mcnamara doesn't look as clueless as he actually is and comes away from the England job actually winning something.

| even if i was in Hull next Saturday not sure whether i would go to it or not, the fact that its at their ground is irrelevant to me,
a game that is now a dress rehearsal for the final the following week in which both look to produce 50+ points is hardly a hot ticket
i never saw the point of a mid season international fixture against France as it did nothing to benefit us nor them, the same can be said here,
having a series against the exiles again would have produced similar attendance figures if not a little better and would have been a whole lot more beneficial for the England team

Id imagine you can pay on the gate, hardly a glamour fixture, if there's 10,000 there I'll be surprised.

| Why the is it at Caravan Park?! Donny or Salford would have been far better venues, especially for TV.

this is the RFL we're talking about, when did they last make a decision that was sensible?
FatNamara is still England coach!
