Totally agree, cheaper than Sharp, better than Lyne and means we shouldn't have to mess players like Whiting and Crooks playing them out of position.

Lineham won't progress unless we have someone pushing him for that right wing position, so for that reason alone it's a decent signing.

Not sure about that - Tommy progressed surrounded by absolute dross in our outside backs!

Tom is a one off, but we did have Raynor, Sing & then Calderwood when he was coming through.

It is true that in the first season we also had Matt Sing, Gareth Raynor, and Todd Byrne also playing on the wing, but apart from the occasional performance from Raynor - I stand by my statement about being surrounded by dross!

He impressed for us on loan as a 19 year old, in the Championship. OK different level of competition, but he was quick and aggressive with a decent defence.

As with all signings you have just got to see what the lad can do on the pitch for you before you will really know his quality

Good signing. Gentle obviously sees him as an important part of the jigsaw and rates him highly so thats good enough for me. Like others have said, we will have some good competition for players in the outside backs next year and most importantly, comprising of good, hungry, youthful players, which is exciting.

Steve macnamars opinion is he can't pass greatly- like most wingers there. But tough as hell will run though walls if asked, strong defensively, good finisher and fast!
