Have to agree with everyone is saying, great guy on and off the pitch.

Can as a project and leaves an excellent SL player, think he will go well in the NRL and I will look forward to watching him play for the Roosters.

Mix of emotion for me, I'm gutted as was hoping he would have a change of mind a re sign for a year but pleased for him to get a deal in the NRL.

He will be a truly massive loss to us, I believe he is one of the best forwards in SL. I think if Sam Burgess & James Graham are going well in the NRL then Sam will have no problem becoming a big hit (pardon the pun) for the Roosters & the NRL.

Think alot of the doubters on the Roosters forum will be very suprised at how good he is and how many minutes he can do.

Would have him back any time as he has been a true professional both on and off the pitch for us.

One of the most destructive ball carriers in Super League for the past 2 seasons. The area he may struggle to adapt to in the NRL is in defence. I dont expect him to go into first grade immediately, but after a few months acclimatising I would expect him to get a shot.

Sam's better without the ball than with it. I appreciate that defence in the NRL is another level but Sam will tear it up over there.

Very sad to see him go - one of my favourite players and a model pro. I kept hoping he might stay even though I knew it was extremely unlikely.

Sad to see him go and with an injury but the guy gave his all for us whenever he played and you cannot ask for anymore than that. A great player for us and one that will be missed by the majority.
