| I agree Horne/Seymour have been crap. But the halves position goes a bit deeper then that.
The last two months our attacking line has become so flat again. Its not neccessarily bad ideas as much as it is everyone reading the play so slowly.
These are the same two players that took the team to one loss from nine at the start of the season.

think Mckinnon leaving didn't help matters but remember Seymour earlier in the season would take on the line, look threatening and get a try here and there,

| I think they've both been rubbish, but Seymour more so, but for me the bigger issue is we've got no forwards and until this is addressed whatever half back combination we put out it won't really matter. We will be too light again tonight.

| Seems to me we have become very fickle of late. Where is the loyalty towards our players that we always used to show. `In any kind of weather`seems to have gone by the wayside with some of our followers.

Sums it up for me. I think he was OK/reasonable early on and supported him along those lines but his performances of late do smack of someone who isn't too interested in playing for the club for whatever reason.
I find it incredible that some on here spend week after week slating the team in general and players in particular yet as soon as the club's owner effectively agrees with them they disagree with him
To turn the club around AP knows that he will upset players and at times fans alike - the owner and coach know better than anyone on here who the players are who want to play for Hull, who the players are that are good enough, and who is just taking the money and doing the minimum. A massive overhaul is taking place and we're not used to it but it seems like we had better get used to it quick and more importantly so had the players.

| For mine,
All our pivots (1,6,7,9) passing speed is so slow, if you compare to HKR, there's no comparison.
Just watched highlights of Wigan yesterday, even their forwards pass faster than our halfbacks, this skill was greatly improved when Maguire took charge.
Maybe some players, think they dont need to improve on this basic skill, hence Gentle's comments "some players are uncoachable"

Agree. Up until about a month ago I was still thinking that he was just struggling with the lack of support and with a good enough halfback partner we might see a different player. Over the last 3 or 4 games he's been poor, though. Still think he could be better with a good partner, but really doubt that will be with us.

Lee and Washbrook springs to mind, could be a night like those days tonight IMO.

| I really hope that Seymour is as least on the bench, I don't agree that Seymour has out th effort in either, I think he has been trying too hard to create things, but things just havent gone his way the last couple of week.
Watching last week game, Seymour passing seemed quick enough but slowed down when it got to Horne, did a great fast pass for briscoes first, but he did make a couple of bad errors that resulted in try's.
I still believe that if we drop Seymour gentle has made a mistake, I would go with
1 Horne
6 heremia
7 Seymour.
I guess we will find out tonight.

| If Seymour does go, I for one will be grateful for his efforts. I don't imaging it's easy trying to drag a beaten pack around the park and not getting any creative support from your HB partner. Horney couldn't create a souffle if you gave him a box of eggs and and whisk !!

I take Hewitt in his hull days over both mcgoldrick and heremia at halfback, at least we would have a kicking game.
Underrated player was Hewitt, and with a bit more pace he could have been an excellent halfback.

I'd agree with that to an extent in possession, but IMO his defence is nowhere near what it was earlier in the season. I realise that he is now defending next to Turner and that that has had an influence at times, but he just seems to be getting swatted aside or ploughed through much easier lately.

| If we're moving Heremaia into the halves then I would prefer a halfback combination on Heremaia and Seymour. I wouldn't drop Seymour. He may have had a very inconsistent season but he's currently our best option for the position.
I would be worried about moving Heremaia into the halves because that would mean Houghton playing a lot of minutes, and in Gentle's press conference on Friday he stated that at that point Houghton hadn't even been to a training session yet.

| Maybe this change is being forced upon Gentle. For all we know Seymour may have had a spat with the coach etc before the comments from Pearson.
