The worst I've known for a long while....but thats down to a team devoid of passion.

hull were the ones to receive all the penalties in the first half..holding down etc..and westermans kneck flop?? pure class mate!!! and as for the bottle throwing??? apart from that i enjoy the atmosphere at the hull games, crowd always very vocal and a lot of you turning up! more than double your neighbours came today! |

Couldn't agree more. A couple of young pi**ed up fatty's in front of us spent most of the game lifting each other up and risking injury on the steps, they even attempted to secrete a match ball. They spent more time looking at what was happening at the back of the stand. What a waste of a day, what a waste of life, yet they still get recognised as Hull fans ??

We have some drunken idiots, and I hope they get banned. No excuses for throwing bottles on the pitch. In fact there were a few idiots that we're so incensed they barged their way to the front to shout and swear and offer him out. Should be easy to identify these morons if there's a camera on the crowd.
That being said, Cockayne shouldn't have been inciting the crowd. What was he expecting to happen? Could have started some real issues.

They were stood next to us, I don't think they were actually ed, I think they were just a bit childish! They got the match ball too, fair play to them on that though I say.

The mans a scumbag who should be in prison, he deserves everything he gets.
Hes a coward who stomps on people when they are on the floor, i doubt he would wind a large number of rival fans up if ther wasnt a fence between him and them he does it because he knows no one can get at him.
plenty of other players get booed and abused but they dont start winding up crowds they are professional sportsmen who ignore it i wouldnt mind but they'd only won a league game he was acting as if they'd won a cup final.

Kids ? Dickheads more like. I'm not particularly bothered about the match ball but it sums up the idiots we have at away matches. I thought the idea was to go and support your team not spend 80 mins playing " twister " and ignoring events on the field in its entirety. |

Err... He's a professional sportsman with a responsibility to be a role model. It's his job. He gets paid. If he didn't want the booing and thug related chants then maybe he shouldn't have done the things he's done in the past.
No professional sportsman should incite a crowd. What was he trying to achieve?

I think you're been a bit harsh to be honest mate. They were messing about a bit before kick off picking up that girl, and then tackling each other when they got the ball but apart from that they got behind the team.
I don't know them and they were a bit annoying, but as I said they weren't too bad, and weren't really harming anyone. |

For the record, the stand you were in is mixed - not an 'away' end - so Cockayne was quite justifiably celebrating a win with his team-mates, in front of his own supporters. Chucking things at him was not a reasonable response.
Either way, it was a great atmosphere today and I'm not overly worried if there were a few idiots - every club has them.

Nobody has said it was a reasonable response. Two wrongs don't make a right.
But if you think he was celebrating like that to the home fans, you are either being naive or argumentative. The majority of the stand were away fans. He was goading. |
