He was a good player, I can remember rumours of him being close to a GB call up.

Mark Jones made one decent run in his career at FC. He wasn't good and worse he wasn't good value having cost a fortune to bring in. He was definitely a "big unit" but that counts for nothing without heart and ability. That rumour must have been started by his agent.

Mark Jones was actually capped for GB. He came off the bench against France in Perpignan in February 1991 after only 20 appearances for Hull. It was only ten minutes, so one of the shortest international careers ever!

He is still listed on the FC website. The site removed McKinnon within hours of him being announced as leaving, so I would say that Pearce is still with us (and I think he was playing at centre in the most recent u20s game according to the match report).

I think that the u20s have a break at the moment.

Signed for York on dual reg but I dont think he's played a game for them.

He played in our last under 20 game on the 2nd of june in the centres.
