Surprised you saw most of the second half, didn't think u had the balls to stay for the full game!

| Bit hot and cold was Jamie today. He linked well for one of Tom's tries and his kick early in the second half that Tom got hold of but had it kicked out of his hands during grounding was a great kick. On the other side of the coin the missed touch was a nightmare as was his scrum-break defence on Cudjoe. He does throw out too many hospital passes for me and at the end of the day Richard Horne was massively missed today. With Ellis and Seymour together we lack a running threat and also Richard's defence is miles better than Ellis'. A spell in the 20s would be great for Jamie again but it ain't going to happen any time soon with the injuries.
I thought Seymour was excellent until the knock on but by then he had already been injured and was struggling.

Agree I thought he was having his best game for us until then. Still an awful knock on that started the tide turning, though. A knee problem should not affect your ability to catch and hold a rugby ball.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "Nicklas isn't as good, we need Ellis' kicking game. Ideally he probably wouldn't be playing as much, but needs must.
Houghton also missed 2 tackles that resulted in tries.'"
Think the accumulation of minutes this season caught up with him today (and also Tickle), he had absolutely nothing left with over 20 minutes to go. Really don't understand why we still left him out there, the game was obviously gone and we would have been better off giving him some of the rest he clearly needs IMO.

I'm sure he'd agree with you.

| Back onto Jamie Ellis.
I don't think many of our players covered themselves in glory during the 2nd half, fatigue, injuries and an inexperienced bench took its toll.
Don't think its fair to single out just Ellis, kick to touch aside he was no better or worse than a fair few of our players.
What will being dropped to the 20's achieve or do to his condence? Nothing I suspect and something Agar would do
His performance will be analyised no doubt by him and Gentle and the defficiences and errors identified and worked on.
He is a young kid still learning his trade in SL and it is no coincidence that his worst performance was in a severely tired and weakened side.
He is best kept in the 1st team in order to develop and improve imo as he'll only get better the more 1st team rugby he plays.

| More then happy with how Ellis is playing.
Great kicking game which will improve the more responsibility and experience he gets.
Gonna be a cracker.

| I think it's a lot more difficult for backs, especially halves, to get to grips with SL. A spell in the 20's would be ideal now he's had exposure, but it's not going to happen until Hornes fit, maybe then put Nicklas on the bench.

| TBF to Ellis it's hard enough for an experienced SL half to do well with the lack of towards we have at the moment I think the Easter perod on top of a serious lack of bodies just took it's toll. Can't fault any of them for effort or commitment but it looked like they reverted to playing on instinct rather than the game plan 2nd half.

| ellis will come good i think. All the ingredients are there. But we are missing Horne at min. Ellis's passing meant numerous promising attacks fell flat,or worse we turned over position. When horne back ellis will probably go back to 20s but he'll be better for his 1st team run and will have more time to fine tune his skills there n will get more opportunities along the line better equipped!

| Posters go on about bringing the youngsters in But today proved there are not ready for S/L .You can bring in one at a time and the team can carry that one but to many and the team loses that balance .To have a go at J Ellis is wrong the lad is still learning his trade ,he has been force into the first team because of injuries .Huddersfield are top of S/L who could rotate players last Monday they rested players I wish Hull could have done that I judge Hull on a full squad not a patch up team
