| ANYONE can hire the kc, so rovers will have to pay the rental fee if they want to use the council facility......simple as that, if they can strike a deal with the council, then they'll be playing there for the derby

| Quote: R.B.A "Hull and Rovers are currently seeing falling crowds and presumably revenue at a time when they are both pumping money into the infrastructures of both clubs. New Stands, training facilities etc. The figures are not stacking up either side of the City.
If Mssrs Hudgell, Pearson and Allam can come up with a situation on July 23rd that financially benefits both clubs then it would take a pretty petty fan not to back it.'"
A few points on this rather sweeping view.
Rovers haven't pumped their own money into anything yet. The funding relating to the stand part of the development is through a central government loan to Hull City Council which Rovers will repay to them at some point in the future, and if they default, the Hull taxpayer is the guarantor. If the finances don't stack up right now, it's because outgoings, many of which are discretionary, exceed income. Whether the average FC fan would want to help reduce KR's operating losses is a question. As you say, and I allude to, the mechanics of the deal would be interesting. Anything that benefits Rovers more than FC per ticket sold might tip the balance.
You have to remember the words and actions of your current regime towards our club. Hudgell's previous, whether goading about Cooke, announcing signings, increasing prices for FC's visits, moaning about our subsidised facilities, demanding the RFL have an inquiry into "that club" after Gleesongate, blah, blah, blah, could be described as antagonistic, or, as you say, "petty". Maybe FC fans should replicate the Rovers fans recommendation, have an evening at an alternative venue for £20, £10 going to FC and watch the game on tv.
Anyway sounds a bit academic now if progress on the 500 temporary seats is well on track.

Not so. Both Hull City and FC can prevent use of the stadium by a third party as part of the tenancy contract - this has come up before. Pearson said at a fans forum that no deal would be done unless FC benefitted financially. Arguably we already have by getting the more attractive Good Friday game.

In recent programme notes he said nothing had yet being decided.

Could that have being the incentive offered to Hull to swing the deal?

He said after the HDM article breaking the "story" on RH that it would be played at CP.

Yup I read the same article. That's not what was in recent programme notes though.

Could have been.
Still think it would be expensive for Rovers having to honour car park passes and pay for transport for up to 6000 passholders, mind. Seems like it'll be at CP anyway.

Not sure about transport, I wouldn't expect it. For me it would be similar to Friday where I just hop on the peasant wagon into town.

Its part of our user agreements, May to Sept we have priority the rest they have priority. So in answer, City wont care, but i told you that, we will have the say where we play.
Maybe Green will play, I'll let you know again nearer the time
