| Thought Yeaman had a solid game personally; he's not an international centre but stood up well against the best side in the world. Briscoe poor tonight. More importantly in terms of the outcome of the game, our halves were completely outplayed.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Needs to look at his postioning as well as gets caught out a lot....Agree about Yeaman but no one else there.
Hope this game puts the Rangi Chase w@nkfest to bed....small fish in big pond.

| Stevo is glad to see Lockyer retire so that we have a better chance of beating them
Thought that Yeamo and Briscoe showed a bit of the Hull mentality tonight. Hall's lateral run caught them both asleep and same with JJB's offload. Is it a coincidence that Leeds players expect a break from inside their own 20 yards and we don't?

| Very flat performance from England , Until we get a 6 & 7 who can unlock a defence and who can turn around a team with a good kicking game , We will always be 20 + points behind the Aussies.

To be fair to the lad....we wanted youngsters in the team instead of the same old same old..and i think he made one mistake which aint a bad effort against the likes of the "so called" "elite"

| Rangi Chase playing 7. Clearly our population (60 million) cannot produce a scrum half like Aussie (17 million) can.

To be honest that's not the point. RL is not the main sport in the UK, where as it is over here in Oz. Until it's taken seriously in the UK we'll never compete with the elite.
Also why arent we all playing to the same rules? You don't see football rules changing from country to country.

You do realise the nation of "17 million" has more then double the amount of persons playing the game. They also have a School system that places the playing of Rugby League significantly higher then we do. I suppose you could also add they have a climate that allows them to enjoy outdoor sports year round where as our fields are usually covered in rain, mud, snow and ice for much of the year which is less conducive to promoting field sport.
I think we do OK considering, but still dissapointing, innit?

Only in certain areas. Other schools play rugby union, for instance.
What English clubs need to stop doing is what Wigan has just done - import their backline players. If clubs became committed to raising the talent we do have then we may just be able to cobble together an international native side. But until that happens we will be playing players out of position (never works) and making do with players who aren't quite up to the necessary standard.

| Well I must say I went and what a joy to watch a team attack like that is brilliant. We r a country mile behind sorry to say! the way the Aussies float around the pitch runners on each shoulder it's what you call well organised.

Just had a quick Wiki-session and was pretty suprised that Aussie rules average attendances are only 600 behind the average attendance of te English Premier League. I'd guess that must be their main sport.
